My Brother went to school at ETSU and while he was there I went up to visit him one weekend.
He took me around to all of his favorite spots.
We fished the Watauga right next to downtown Elizabethton where I caught several trout that were rising on dry flies.
I'm not sure what the name of the next place was, but the stream was not much wider than a ditch. It was on a steep slope so it would drop into pools about every 10-15 feet. We fished it from bottom to top and I would just lay my fly up in each pool as we went up. You'd better be ready because they would hit it as soon as it hit the water and if you missed them you might as well move on. They were all Brook Trout about the size of the one in wd-40's picture.
That day I caught Browns, Rainbows and Brooks.
That was a great day.
