  1. Common courtesy and common sense... not so common any more. I was heading south through KY on 75 early one morning around 7 or 8 am and I had stopped at a rest area not too far from the TN border. I was walking to the door and I noticed that there were three women close behind me. When I got to the door I held it open for them to enter in front of me and the first woman had this look of shock on her face while she said, with a thick Yankee accent, "Thank you very much, young man." I just smiled at her and said "Welcome to the South ma'am."
  2. They usually stay inside the city lImits.
  3. I saw that picture a few days ago and noticed what appeared to be a 30 round magazine, but I didn't really give it an more thought. In another thread here on TGO it appears that he might not have been wearing any body armor and I bet when it's all said and done there is no 100 round magazine either. Anti-gun agenda or just piss poor reporting?
  4. http://thelawdogfiles.blogspot.com/2010/09/ok-ill-play.html Allow me to explain. I hear a lot about "compromise" from your camp ... except, it's not compromise. Let's say I have this cake. It is a very nice cake, with "GUN RIGHTS" written across the top in lovely floral icing. Along you come and say, "Give me that cake." I say, "No, it's my cake." You say, "Let's compromise. Give me half." I respond by asking what I get out of this compromise, and you reply that I get to keep half of my cake. Okay, we compromise. Let us call this compromise The National Firearms Act of 1934. There I am with my half of the cake, and you walk back up and say, "Give me that cake." I say, "No, it's my cake." You say, "Let's compromise." What do I get out of this compromise? Why, I get to keep half of what's left of the cake I already own. So, we have your compromise -- let us call this one the Gun Control Act of 1968 -- and I'm left holding what is now just a quarter of my cake. And I'm sitting in the corner with my quarter piece of cake, and here you come again. You want my cake. Again. This time you take several bites -- we'll call this compromise the Clinton Executive Orders -- and I'm left with about a tenth of what has always been MY DAMN CAKE and you've got nine-tenths of it. Then we compromised with the Lautenberg Act (nibble, nibble), the HUD/Smith and Wesson agreement (nibble, nibble), the Brady Law (NOM NOM NOM), the School Safety and Law Enforcement Improvement Act (sweet tap-dancing Freyja, my finger!) I'm left holding crumbs of what was once a large and satisfying cake, and you're standing there with most of MY CAKE, making anime eyes and whining about being "reasonable", and wondering "why we won't compromise". I'm done with being reasonable, and I'm done with compromise. Nothing about gun control in this country has ever been "reasonable" nor a genuine "compromise". LawDog
  5. No. Politicians want to control us and as long as we have the 2A they will never have control over us.
  6. Yeah and they all sucked compared to what you can get today.
  7. That's what I thought too so I went to their site to see just how they were coming up with their "Peace Index." http://www.visionofh...g/uspeaceindex/ All of the data that they show are per 100,000 people. The 5 indicators that they use to come up with the Peace Index are Homicide, Violent Crime, Incarceration, Police Employees and Small Arms. So if you have a lot of cops and guns you must be violent.
  8. I'd go with the breathable ones. When I bought mine, Red Ball in '00, they had a no questions asked replacement warranty. It was a good thing too because I stepped in a hole on the Clinch and cut the shin open. I still have and use the replacement pair that they sent me 11 years ago. You can layer clothes under the breathable ones to make them warmer. I suggest the stocking foot wader also. Get a pair fleece wader liners too. http://m.bing.com/shopping/cabelas-400-weight-fleece-wader-liners/p/46FCFBEBEE2231EA5020?q=fleece+wader+liners&shpabar=1&IIG=97c13f8eb2ef4d74a1b0be6dff3a34e2&kval=9.1&appns=mSERP&cutc=1343022054782

  20. I was one of the James' (the bigger one) that was in your group. I was thumbing through the score sheets looking for mine after everyone had left and saw the name of the guy (BQ) that you brought with you. It suddenly dawned on me that I knew him, we went to high school together and our wives are friends also. It was good to see you guys come out and I look forward to seeing you all at the next IDPA match. Don't forget that there is also USPSA on the 3rd Saturday and Steel Challenge on the 4th. I should be at both this month.
  21. Clearly it's a Glock.
  22. Mexican Carry....No es bueno. I'd rather have Glock butt than Glock nut. Seriously though, he should have been using a holster..... and his brain.
  23. Which bay did you start in prag?
