  1. I hope you're right, but I bet someone will start some rumor about a "ammo tax" or the EPA banning lead ammo.
  2. I'm with you 100%. I tire of hearing people use that to discribe every person that they don't like. We should really come up with something better and a little more demeaning like.... "What a steel guitar player!" Or "That guys dumber than a bag of studio musicians!" :0)
  3. Caugh.... Caugh..... <<<<Raises hand. Second Saturday of the month would work out for me, cowboy action shoot at ORSA and I'm not in to cowboy hats and spurs, unless my wife's wearing them.

  5. I've been using a Country Time Lemonade container for years. It holds 550 rounds and has a deep lid you can use to load from. The lid screws on so you don't have to worry about it popping off and it is made of pretty thick plastic. My FIL was visiting from Brazil and I guess he was bored one day and decided to go prowl around in a '68 F-100 that's been sitting in my back yard for about 12 years. He found a container like that one with about 400 Remington .22s in it. I figure that ammo was in there about 13 years in the heat, cold and humidity. I took it to the range and it all fired through my P-22.
  6. At ORSA I usually shoot about 100 rounds, but I always bring about 150-200 just in case I have to do a reshoot or have some other problems.
  7. Oak Ridge Sportsmens Association http://www.orsaap.com/ Click on the IDPA symbol.
  8. I could not agree more.
  9. Hey, look at that, there's one in this crowd too.
  10. I guess if I'd taken the time to read the article....
  11. All I see is that big middle finger sticking up out of the crowd. Wonder what the white flag below the US flag is? Culpepper Minutemen?
  12. True. Nowadays shooting a .22 is turning into a rich mans sport.
  13. I'm going to try and be there next Saturday. Just show up, let them know that you're a new shooter and they'll take very good care of you. Your pistol should work fine. Bring at least 200 rounds of ammo.
  14. I'm not making a recommendation (Google Secret City Weaponeers) just stating what I use. I use a SCW K25, it's kydex, it's OWB and IMO it's a quality holster. I shoot IDPA the same way I EDC, OWB with a cover shirt, I don't go for the whole fishin vest thing.
  15. 1911 "Most New York City gun crimes involve weapons illegally brought into the state, state and city officials say." Yet they still feel the need to further restrict their own citizens. Typical.
  16.   It was really a rhetorical question.
  17. Someone send that to Poose.
  18. I'm all for reinforcing the doors. I have the know how and the ability to make those changes and would gladly volunteer my time to make my 6yo sons school safer. What do schools do when there's a fire? My sons classroom has two doors, one that goes to the hall and one on the opposite side of the classroom that exits outside. If there was shooting in another classroom I would rather the teacher lock the hall door while the kids were hauling ass out the other door. I don't understand the "lockdown" mentality for an active shooter. I think you stand a much better chance as a moving target than you do as a fish in a barrel.
  19. School Safety Administration. No thanks.
  20. The only reason I go to Walmart is ammo. I have never purchased a gun from them and would prefer to do my grocery shopping at Kroger. If they jump on board with the VP I will never go in Walmart again. Edit: I think I'll write them and let them know how I feel.
  21. That video disgusts me. I'm not surprised in the least that they would talk about how evil guns are and how violent America is yet laugh about shooting Alex Jones.
  22. As usual, well said.
  23. But it won't. We'll just bitch and moan, but we'll take it just like we have every other slap to the face.
  24. I wonder if that's legal for IDPA?
  25. If it's not a gun and just some online community.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdA__2tKoIU&feature=youtube_gdata_player
