  1. I think you're the only one saying its too crowded. As I've stated before I've shot there twice. Feb. match started at 10-10:30 and we were leaving at 12:00. March match started at 10:30 and we were leaving 1:30. Maybe the matches your friends shot in were unusually crowded. From my limited experience Cleveland has a good quick match YMMV. I think NASCAR races take too long, but I guess it just takes as long as it takes to go 500 miles
  2. Maybe you all should go fishing then. I've shot at Cleveland twice with around 70 shooters each time. I personally didn't feel it was crowded or taking too long. If you have a squad... 1) Man in the Hole 2) Man on Deck 3) Shooter 4) RSO 5) Score Keeper 6) Paster 7) Paster Seems like seven would be the perfect number for a squad? So, find seven friends go out Saturday morning set up 5 stages, run your 7 through each stage, and tear down 5 stages. Let me know what time you finish up. Doubt you'll spend much time standing around.
  3. Yes, he did, but most people didn't want to listen.
  4. Have you ever shot in a IDPA match? I'm guessing not. There's plenty to do in between shooters (pasting targets, scoring, etc.) and there's plenty to learn (what to do as well as what not to do) while other people are shooting.
  5. You're welcome!
  6. I'm driving like I'm shooting... Less than I'd like.
  7. Heck, if they'll let you do that I want to shoot it too. IDPA/Outlaw or whatever it was, I had a great time shooting at Cleveland today!
  8. Oh, well thank you for clearing that up. When I went to my first match I thought I had stumbled upon some kind of weird fishing tournament.
  9. Yeah, I didn't see where anyone talked negatively about ORSA. I just like giving people a hard time about competition cover vests aka "fishin' vests."
  10. Of course, it wouldn't be an IDPA match without fishin' vests.
  11. But... But.... But.... There are guys with fishing vests and everything!!?!?!?!!
  12. I've only shot at Cleveland once and that was last month. It went very quickly, our group was done by 12:15.
  13. Replace the word "white" with the word "political" then send that program to DC where it can do some good.
  14. Just got a call from a friend of mine that works at the Oak Ridge Walmart, they got 30 cases of Tula .223 and 6 cases of 100rd Winchester 9mm. He said "It's probably all gone now, there's like 20 people standing back there."
  15. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/62378-hope-this-is-a-good-sign/?hl=walmart I bet we start seeing a lot of Tula .223 on Armslist. There's no shortage on Armslist.
  16. Thank you for the education on how the free market works, I don't think anyone else on here had really explained it yet. So, Walmart has ammo and these Armslist guys go and buy it all as soon as it hits the shelf creating a false shortage. Then they put it on the Internet at a substantial mark up and you expect us not to get mad about it? As long as these people can keep the shelves at Walmart bare they will continue to be able to ask whatever they want for ammo.
  17. No, that would make Jimmy, Tommy. We're still looking for our Delmar. Map/Directions link. http://www.chrpc.com/map.htm
  18. Spiffy is for forcing me to go again this month.
  19. They are having a match this Saturday 16th. I went last month with a couple of guys that I shoot IDPA with at ORSA. We had a great time. http://clevelandtnidpa.me.pn/index.html Edit: It's at the Clevland Hunting Rifle and Pistol Club, not sure if that's the range you were referring to.
  20. After the match, pick up all the brass you want, it's on the ground, everyone is done shooting, get it all... But... You're out pasting targets and realize it's just you and couple of the same people doing all the pasting, when you turn to yell for more pasters all you see are asses stuck up in the air. You're trying to do a walk through and everyone is in the way trying to pick up brass. I don't think the competition comment was out of place.
  21. You should have thanked them for picking up your brass and held out you hand. My patience for range chickens on the range and at matches is wearing very thin.

  23. Reads like a Nigerian email.
  24. The Secure Transport trucks have specific routes, they don't make wrong turns and they don't get surprised by construction. They would have no reason to be in downtown Memphis so I find it very unlikely they would be. I would bet it had something to do with the Federal Reserve. 25. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.............
