  1. That's the first thing I thought when I saw this thread yesterday.
  2. Daniel probably forgot his crayons at home again. lol
  3. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCVR_ajL_Eo&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DZCVR_ajL_Eo
  4. My underarms were all "soapy" and wouldn't allow sufficient grip to hold a magazine. ;)
  5. In that case, I gamed it. Where else you supposed to.... Awww never mind I hate stupid rules.
  6. Seems like we had a shower stage like that at ORSA once and I ended up carrying my spare magazine by biting it.
  7. I only went through SA a few times on my way to other parts of Africa. I would usually stay a few days when I did go through there though. I never met a White South African that I didn't like, I never met a Black South African that I can recall. All the Blacks I met were always from other countries and were all nice people. I lived in Zambia close to the boarder of the DRC and would go across the boarder frequently to Lubumbashi DRC. The Chinese are everywhere in DRC building roads and opening mines. While living in Zambia I got to know a White Zambian of Greek desent that is a very prominent business owner there. He was telling me about how when things went sideways in DRC that White mercinaries were sent in to rescue any Whites that they could with orders to shoot anything that was Black. And the did. The Whites in Africa are the toughest people I have ever met in my life. If the Blacks in SA start a race war they may bite off more than they can chew. I don't know how many Whites there are left in SA because they were leaving in droves when I was last there 5 years ago.
  8. No no no... If we allowed a "Enhanced Carrt Permit" blood would run in the streets, it would be like the Wild West!
  9. Edit: He beat me to it. To add to what dlmeadows said, they will have a new shooters meeting before the match begins. Just let them know when you sign up that you are a new shooter and they will take good care of you.
  10. I guess you need to Google the closest Dairy Queen then.
  11. We've got several TGOers that shoot IDPA and USPSA at Oak Ridge that would be more than happ to shoot with you and help you out with the rules etc.
  12. I bought 5 KCI 15 round 19 mags in 2010 for $6 each. They have been my sole IDPA/USPSA/training magazines for 3 years. I haven't had one magazine related failure in the thousands and thousands of rounds that have been put through them. Last year I bought 1000 rounds of steel cased Tula and I noticed that when I was unloading my magazines with my thumb after a match that they were sticking down in the magazine body and not coming up hard against the lips of the magazine. Though it never caused any problems while shooting I, like Prag, changed the KCI springs out for Wolff extra power springs. They have been great magazines, I wish I had bought 20 of them at $6. Edit: If it was Spiffys wet dream zombie apocalypse, I wouldn't hesitate to load these up and mix them in with my factory magazines.
  13. 5.11 just recently got into that style of kilt, there is another company called Utilikilts that been making them for about 10 years. There's another company called Sport Kilt that makes a more traditional looking kilt, but it was designed with the athlete in mind. A lot of the Scotish Highland Game athletes use them. I'm thinking about getting a Sport Kilt the first of the year to use for IDPA/USPSA.
  14. Never let a good manufactured crisis go to waste.
  15. That's dedication. On your part for your dog. On his part for carrying.
  16. Next time I go shoot IDPA in Cleveland I'm going to go check it out.
  17. And could very well be the last bill that ever passes.
  18. That made me happy in my special place. :)
  19. Just trying to figure out which Glock I want to shoot. Might go ESP G19.
  20. Any job worth doing is worth taking your time and doing it right.
  21. As a "Hybrid" pistol match, how are you going to do classes/divisions? Round count? I shot T4T last year, but I can't remember.
  22. I'd like about 20 minutes alone with the people in the room where they sit around and think this crap up.
  23. In all the videos I've seen of park barricades etc. all of the signs were printed on 8.5X11" paper.
  24. Allow me to translate. Pmags come with covers. They are supposed to keep debris from an empty mag or to help the feed lips from spreading on a loaded mag. If you were mad or upset you might say "I'm 'bout ta pop da cuvers off mah mags!" Since Spiffy doesn't buy in to keeping covers on his mags, he has none to remove or he doesn't believe in keeping covers on his mags because they would only slow him down if he needed them in a hurry.
  25. I understand completely. My Father was raised in Jellico and LaFollette and when I was a boy he used to take me to Royal Blue ride our dirt bikes.
