  1. I support the 2nd amendment, I even hunt, but I don't know why anyone would want one of those assault rifles.
  2. If you shoot in Production class (think of it as stock factory guns) you load 10 rounds per mag and 11 in your first mag. If you shoot Limited class you can load your mags to capacity. It can be a lot to take in at first, but we'll help you along.
  3. I think the 19c will put you in open class, but if you just want to shoot it probably doesn't matter to you. Bring at least 5 mags, if you don't have enough I've got plenty of 19 mags you can borrow. You're going to need mag pouches too, I run three, I've got one double you can use if needed. Edit: Match starts at 10am, so be there around 9:30 to register and for the new shooters meeting. Come on out we'll put you in our squad and walk you through everything.
  4. I predict Daniel will be throwing rocks on bays 1 and 7. It's funny, I was out there on Sunday and the baracades and the steel were already set up, on one of the stages there was a nice pile of 3/4" rocks on a table, as if awaiting Daniels arrival.
  5. Got my Aimpoint out and played with it a bit. Without my glasses I see this: / With my glasses I see this: ç If my dot is 4moa then the / I see is a 8moa and the ç would be about a 6moa.
  6. If I can mess up a Glock with a Dremel I can mess up a 870 with one no problem. lol Looking forward to a range report.
  7. I have a H1 with the 4MOA dot. It's mounted on a M&P 15-22 that I use for Steel Challenge. It doesn't really bug me that much, it's just defiantly not a dot. I center it on the target and pull the trigger and move on. The targets in Steel Challenge range from 6" at 12-15 yards to 18"x24" at 35 yards so it's not like I use it for precision shooting, but at the same time I can easily keep a golf ball hopping at the plinking range. I'm not sure what brightness settings your sight has, but try turning it down to the lowest visible setting and see if that helps.
  8. As soon as I saw the title I knew what it was about. I have a pretty bad astigmatism and my Aimpoint is more a little red worm than a red dot.
  9. Jealousy rears its ugly head yet again. :D
  10. He's always like that. :)
  11. No such thing. Either you is or you ain't. :D
  12. I air gun a 9 so it just goes pew pew pew... Come on Danny, there are plenty of machine shops around here too.
  13. As much as we harass each other I don't think there's really a difference.
  14. I didn't go and run the stages on New Years Day with prag, they don't set them up until the morning of the match. (But you guys already know that) Rickey, there are plenty of houses for sale around here. ;)
  15. Thanks, that practice session we had New Year's Day helped!
  16. Adding... Just because we have the ability to yell "FIRE" at any time does not give the government the right to stand at the door and tape every mouth shut as they enter. It's already illegal to murder someone.
  17. Let me know how it goes and how you did it. I might get my cousins and give it a whirl.
  18. I just let that 34 lead me. Rickey's special hand loads didn't hurt. ;) It was worth it to help with your tire, I've seen a lot of flats, but never one quite like that.
  19. You guys wouldn't pile on a fella would ya? It was a great match, I really wasn't looking forward to freezing, but with no wind it was perfect. I'm pretty beat though, Spiffy had a flat after the match and his spare was flat, fortunately for him I was still there. It wore me out watching him change that thing! Between that and (this is gonna sound gay, but I don't care) the picklegasm I had from the home canned pickles prag gave me, I'm spent. As always it was great shooting with and talking to you guys!
  20. I delt with a 870 Express that had the same issues. I had shells hanging in chamber with everything from low brass to to steel duck loads. It also wouldn't eject a loaded shell from the magazine to the lifter at times. I sent it to Remington and it came back with a tag saying the chamber had been polished and something had been adjusted on the magazine. I took it to shoot skeet and it had the same problems within 5 shots. I looked at the magazine and ended up fixing that myself, but the chamber still sticks. The gun belongs to a young cousin of mine so I didn't really want work on the chamber. If the gun were mine and I were you, I'd just do it myself with the steel wool.
  21. I no know but he waas the fun! Strel
  22. I shot the same gun today. It's a sweet shooter for sure, but I'm not ready to go trade in my Glocks just yet. :)
  23. What worries me most about the registration in Connecticut is that all the gun control advocates are watching. They're watching and seeing all these gun owners line up to comply with this unconstitutional law and register their guns. I believe this will only embolden them to try and implement more restrictive laws in other states. I'm sure there are Connecticuters who will refuse to register their guns, but that won't matter. Just like the people who defy New Yorks Safe Act, they'll get picked up one by one over the years and thrown in jail. This is what compromise gets you. We need to take back the rights we've lost. Stop being reactive and start being proactive.
