  1. This has already been posted in two other threads, but I vote for this one to stay because it's the only one with a explanitory title.
  2. I wonder if Tweedledum and Tweedledee aren't really anti gun shills?
  3. Even an abused Glock is still a good gun. You can take a police trade in that looks rough as a cob, change out the springs for $50 and have a like new gun. To answer the OPs question, Glocks are not expensive, $450-$550 is a great price for what you are getting.
  4. The reaction of the child is going to depend on the environment in which they are raised. My children see a gun in a holster and have no reaction. I would be willing to bet money that if I went in my sons elementary school OCing none of the kids would freak out. I've seen LEOs in there before and the kids managed not to wet their pants so logic would dictate its not the gun.
  5. Pausing the video... They look like Mexicans.... I see them doing this a lot, I don't understand why. I saw a guy walking in the gutter like that the other day with the sidewalk literally 12" away.
  6. Circle One.(I would circle one, but I seem to have misplaced my crayons) Do you own a firearm? Yes Have you ever owned a firearm? If I do own one then I have owned one. Do you plan on owning a firearm? If I do own one and I have owned one then I guess I plan on owning one. How much experience do you have with firearms? That depends on your perspective. Are you for gun rights or gun control? See answer to question 1. Write out the answers to the following questions. Please define gun rights. I have the right to own firearms. Please define gun control. Any attempt to try and regulate my right to own firearms and any item related to them. How much do you agree/disagree with the following statements? Circle One. (Again, I looked, but I still can't find those crayolas, I bet my 4 year old ate them again.) 1. Background checks should be mandatory for anyone who owns or uses firearms. You don't have to have a background check to buy alcohol or a car and that combination kills a lot more people every year. 2. High capacity magazines should not be banned. I believe in standard capacity magazines. 3. All firearms should be registered. What good would registering my firearms do? Would it stop me from committing a crime with them? 4. Sale of ammunition should not be restricted to purchases done in person. See answer to "Please define gun control." 5. Any private entity should be allowed to ban firearms at their establishment. Their business to ban, my business to take my business elsewhere. (One reason why I don't vacation in NYC.) 6. City governments should not be allowed to ban firearms within city limits. If every little municipality in TN were permitted to allow or ban guns... could you imagine the confusion? 7. There should be a limit on the number of firearms a person can own at any moment. Have you ever tried to shoot two guns at once? I have, it's not like you see in the movies at all, it's hard to hit anything. So, if I can only shoot one gun at a time accurately then it shouldn't matter how many I own. (That's why I don't believe in evolution, if I evolved I'd have four arms and a tail.) 8. Gun control restrictions need not be as stringent in rural areas. Depends on you perspective. I bet these bystanders have an interesting perspective... http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/1830007/ 9. Automatic firearms should be banned. See answer to "Please define gun control."
  7. I wonder if that Mustang is a stick shift?
  8. That's what I was thinking, I hope the OPs friend got a receipt for the confiscated firearm.
  9. Do that, I'd like to know the answer. They always tell me they never get any. There was another guy there that morning and I got the feeling he was a reseller, he seemed very familiar with the lady behind the counter (older heavy set dark hair) and knew .22 was going to be there before she even brought it out. I was there getting oil for my truck and overheard him questioning another employee about ammo and where the sporting goods dept. worker was. While he was waiting for her to break it out of the case he looked at me and said "This stuff is like gold."
  10. What makes you say that? I was in the OR Walmart Saturday the 19th and they had 3 cases of Federal 550.
  11. Nice. Excellent work.
  12. There are a lot of people that know I carry, I've never been asked that question.
  13. I think Magpul will still offer their newest version in various colors, it's just the MOE mags that will go to black only. So you'll still be able to get your color fix.
  14. Jeremy, it was great to meet your brother at the match last month, when I saw him I thought to myself... That guy looks really familiar... Looks like Jeremy, but I know that's not Jeremy. lol
  15. If you had to leave the house at 0300 it'd still be worth it to get to see me and Spiffy.
  16. Would they let me shoot my Glock in that? ;)
  17. We're here, just a quiet secretive bunch.... lol There have been ORSA IDPA threads in the past. We'll start a thread for next month and you can squad with us.
  18. How do you know this to be true? Not all of AK is the end of the world. If the OR Walmart saved all the .22 they got in a year it wouldn't be that much. I know this because a friend of mine works there. I questioned him about the "We don't have .22 ammo" sign that's been hanging in the sporting goods dept. for the past 8 months. He said they don't ever get any.
  19. Ever been to a Walmart in Alaska?
  20. I wonder why it is that the Walmart in the above picture gets 1000 boxes of .22 and the one in OR never gets any. That pisses me off just a little bit.
  21. Gas? A few trailers? That's 60,400 lbs... you need diesel and a couple of dump trucks.
  22. It was a 4-3 decision by the OR city council. I hope people remember which 3 voted to extend the contract when election time comes around. I heard Trina Vaughn say that she recieved more complaints from OR residents about those cameras than anything else. A move in the right direction OR.
  23. Same goes for my wife, loves the smell of that stuff. Nope, if I got caught with Astroglide outside the house I'd have some 'splaing to do! :) I got some samples of Froglube two years ago and have been using it on my Glocks and AR with no issues.
  24. Astroglide
