  1. Joe, What name is the match results posted under in Practiscore? Awesome stages, great crowd, great time!
  2. Oh my gosh, what do these people eat? Plastic? Frogs legs are yummy, and there's plenty of frogs to spare. What get's me is how uninformed these folks are. Mistaking an endangered toad for a frog? No, there's a big distinction there, and habitat differences. Giggers know what's good, and legal to harvest ... bullfrogs only, period. I dined on a lot of them when I was younger and more ambitious to wade ponds all night. Only problem was what took you four hours to gig, you could eat in 4 minutes! Nothing better!
  3. My Hi Power fits my 1911 holsters, but not exact. They're a little loose on fit. I'd say have a Kydex made exactly for your gun.
  4. Here's some info  ....   https://www.tn.gov/revenue/article/abandoned-immobile-or-unattended-vehicles
  5.   Have not a clue about TN, but some states have a salvage law on abandoned water craft, like Florida. If no one claims it after so long, it's abandoned, and you can legally salvage it. Wonder if it would apply to vehicles?  I'd say that Ford is definitely abandoned!
  6. That engine would be salvageable too provided a good powertrain mechanic tear it down immediately after it comes out of the water before a lot of air gets to it and corrodes parts together.    My days in the military, I saw several hummers go underwater and they were tore down after recovery and put back into service with a minimum of parts. Electronics are toast, but the mechanical stuff can be cleaned and reassembled. Even at six months, once it's full of water, not much oxidation is taking place.
  7. Ah, I believe Norma is about 16 spaces down too far  ... just say'n!   :pleased:
  8. Talk about giving away your position! That's going to need a BIG flash suppressor, like maybe a gallon paint can screwed on the end?   Then again, that much fire should pretty much scare away anyone in the area.
  9. Remington 870 Express 3 1/2" ... sometimes on sliding the action, it would feed one up but not kick the chambered shell out, causing one hell of a jam. I had to carry a stout screwdriver to the duck blind just to be ready to pry.
  10.   Coop, take it from a tribal elder. While you may not forget, life will be easier on you to forgive. Nobody loses sleep over crap like this other than the one who won't let it go. Your life is more important to not let it go.   Heck, you're a SIX gun Master now, you've got bigger fish to fry!   Promote the sport, it's 99% nice guys and gals ... and they don't give money away in IDPA like them other sanctioned shooting sport events, so be happy and keep winning plaques.  :pleased:
  11.   I hear you Hozzie, my first ride was a solid frame mini-bike with a Briggs motor, no suspension, no helmet, I survived a dozen motorcyles, atvs since, (61 years) but today don't condone the no helmet thing. My son, Itchytriggerfinger ... I started him on a cheap 3 wheeler WITH a helmet, he progressed to a Mini-trail 50 and eventually an XR100, which he sold at 16 to buy a car and chase girls.   I have two great grandsons through him, a 7 year old and 4 year old. Both have powerwheels, but the 7 year old has outgrown that. I have some tame trails cut through my woods (2 acres) for them, so I thought the next step might be the cheap atv as he doesn't have the 2 wheel itch his father had. I'm a good shade tree mechanic, 63H/E US ARMY. :)   If I can keep the 7 year old in a little atv for two years, and can keep it running, I'll pass it to the younger one. I really want a throttle limiter regardless, and I'm sure I can rig on up if need be. I do have a 420 Rancher in the garage, I might let them ride it ... when they're 21!
  12. Anyone have any experience with the cheap Chinese ($400-500) fourwheelers I've seen advertised lately? Would like to get one for my grandson, if it won't fall apart in the first year.   I looked at Yamaha kid models, but at $2000, that ain't happening! :)
  13. +1 to Sunfish's "smart animal".   I've hunted hogs in Texas and I can tell you that they're a lot smarter then any whitetail buck you've ever encountered.    My number one tip ... the wind has to be perfect. Hogs can can scent you from a long distance. Find a feed source, sit down wind from it, and be patient.   My best luck was always before sunset.
  14. Coop, I promise not to bring random assorted SUPERMAG .45++ ammo to this match. I felt bad for the last SO standing behind me. He said he still can't hear too well.
  15. I don't like to doubt PF ... MAGNUM all the way! (well, some mix and match anyway)
  16. That's what she ... never mind.
  17. When and where do you post the scores now?
  18. I love that black & white classic movie!
  19. There you go with them new fangled words again ... now I have to look up "steam punk".
  20.   Nothing a hacksaw and grinder won't fix.
  21. Signed in, only 12 spots left, or so it says. Anyway you can see who's already on this thing Joe?
  22.   We could give it a try Scott. I've got a CZ 455 with also a cheap scope. Maybe we could get in the "cheap guns and retired farts" class?
  23. No, thank God I don't have to go to Knoxville for doc visits, I do enough here in my Nashville area!
  24.   Yeah, I do too. Don't need an anti nut case visiting me.   :pleased:
