Sister-in-law purse stolen in Wal-Mart ( Halls, Tn )
zapfbroad replied to TnShooter83's topic in General Chat
P.S. I think walmart is deplorable on multiple levels..there are enough documentaries if u don't know. I'm thankful I can get everything I need without going in there. I work too hard for my money..I'm very selective about whose hand I put it back into. P.P.S. skip the uscan & give another American a job. via EPIC4G SRF1.1.0 by Android Creative Syndicate -
Sister-in-law purse stolen in Wal-Mart ( Halls, Tn )

I worked for a crazy burnd out ret. Army drill sergeant as one of my first retail mgrs when I was workin LP in the store. He routinely said wild stuff. Initial interview " you think u can do this? You aren't real big(inch taller than him). Well I'll give anyone a chance I guess". "Don't get caught up helpin these old people find stuff, they work in teams". We had a collection of steel pipes, bats, handcuffs, etc. We kept a 3ring with over 100+ polaroids of shoplifters we detained. They really did work in teams hah. I did have knives pulled on me several times. One of the cashiers hadto call an ambulance after some shoplifter tripped right outside & hit a pillar, broke his arm & suffered a concussion. Fortunately, bossman helped the guy get upright waitin for the ED drivers. If you've got to work there day in & day out you will be marked as a sheep if you don't take a stand. Crackhouse fencers would send junkies & boosters in.." go to stores x,y,z get me the following...easy score in these spots". Retail theft is a catch .22. That stint burned off some of the last vestiges of shock at what people will do especially when it comes to shoplifting, theft & robberies. via EPIC4G SRF1.1.0 by Android Creative Syndicate -
My buddy Darold where I used to work is a napaholic..turn around & he's 'resting' his eyes in the foldin chair. He would straighten things at work on the bottom shelf..(he's 6'5" 275lbs. "Gotta get off these knees") he'd be real thorough bout gettin that bottom shelf tidied up. Get a kinda eyeball view make sure it was lined up right ya know. 10min later.."where's D?" Across the buildin straightenin some bottom shelf but snoring for some reason. Makes me so jealous. I can rarely nap. An attempted fully clothed 30min power nap turns into a 4hr sleep without feelin rested. Of course I'm lazy to sleep a total of 6hrs a day so that 4hr intermission really zings my schedule :-( via EPIC4G SRF1.1.0 by Android Creative Syndicate

I'm curious what if any legal state minimum age is for ranges or if its just discretionary to each range. I went with a neighbor when I was 9 & both me & his 6yr old son shot .22rifles, so that was like one of the coolest things ever. But that was at the nat.guard range in new england so I don't know the law here. I took a 17yr old buddy of mine on Fri morning & had to sign the waiver for him. It was his first time ever shooting, after some gentle corrections(I think he was squinting so hard for fear of recoil, with his eyes almost closed, his first couple shots were actually grounders) after we realigned & covered sight alignment more he turned into a natural with good centermass groupings at 10 yards. He took his targetpaper home & showed his dad. His dad was super proud & offered to take him out to cheatham co to his buddy's land & let him shoot his dads .357 & shotgun. Kid didn't even know for sure if his dad owned any guns lol. Now they're planning some shootin trips before boy goes off to college. How cool was that! via EPIC4G SRF1.1.0 by Android Creative Syndicate

lawdy me that was lame. I would expect that from network chans like cbs/fox,etc but TLC, Discovery, NatGeo, History channel I would like to see held a bit more accountable from upper staff. If you purport to be an authority, informational, scientific based etc agency then don't debase yourself pfft.

First time I took my wife to the range let her shoot a 9mm & my .40. She actually prefers the .40 and shot better groupings. Though at 15yds she did better overall wth 9mm which I think wll be her carry choice after she gets her hcp. And it will be pink I've been toldby she who must be obeyed. via EPIC4G SRF1.1.0 by Android Creative Syndicate

natural leader, kinda wanna retake and see if it will shame you for incorrect response. "you are a sheep, you will likely be the first to die", etc hah

Unless he misses or he is facing a westside story size flashmob of hungry angry zombies villagers like in Gymkata. Just sayin. Me likes ze Smith & Wesson. I think we had this discussion bout export mgmt/manufacturing jobs. Plenty of great American manufactured (read not imported thru smyrna, ga) guns available. Don't need to support austria, brazil, italy, croatia, etc. Great guns yes but corporate money goin back overseas from us plants of foreign/multi national via EPIC4G SRF1.1.0 by Android Creative Syndicate

In general it is a good home defense for the value doubles as most effective pistol whipper. Not having shot it personally I wouldn't go to it first its in lockup. But my ED is at hand with flashlight & machete close by ;-) via EPIC4G SRF1.1.0 by Android Creative Syndicate

Have a hipoint .40,I've yet to play with at the range.. had it for 2.5 years but can't beat the price regardless. A gun is a tool first. I buy on function, value(price), appearance in that order. Also why I like a sigma 40 vs a glock. Would I love to have a $4k 1911 or kimber with custom engraved ivory handles, tungsten nightsights with mother of pearl finish blah blah etc etc. Yep! Would I carry it everyday. Prolly not. Hipoint to heavy for ED..unless you 6'5 & 300lbs then by all means. But is it great for home defense yeah. I keep meaning to take mine to the range but I think I have a lil anxiety about lettin others see that I own one haha. No really I just devote all target ammo to my others. via EPIC4G SRF1.1.0 by Android Creative Syndicate

In TN once u reach a certain age (68?, can't remember) you no longer are required to have a photo on your DL, curious if same applies to HCP via EPIC4G SRF1.1.0 by Android Creative Syndicate

Just curious if they've changed the design on the HCP ID like they did on the TN drivers license with the new flimsier look and palsy color. Also wonderin..if ur past the tndl photo required age are u exempt on hcp photo too? Just curious I'm only 29 so I've got a minute yet to be concerned. via EPIC4G SRF1.1.0 by Android Creative Syndicate

I love the mag articles, tv commercials & radio spots from companies willing to sell you gold & silver based upon their altruistic need to inform you of the risks of the economy & how those two commodoties are the only safe bets. And yet they will help you to acquire supplies in exchange for the same U.S. currency they say will be worthless. STREETWK05 is right +1 to more ammo. In a SHTF scenario commodoties may aid you for a temporary duration & allow you to recover sooner. But in a true TEOTWAWKI situation it won't provide any benefits. You need ammo to hunt food, whether that ammo is brass cased or arrows or fishing lures. You need ammo for defense of you & yours from whatever assails you in your daily fortifications or permanent residence. What benefit would the first pilgrims have had for gold, silver bars, ingots, or coins outside of decorative jewelry in bartering with native americans? If you are a roving nomad or maintain a defensible permanent perimeter you can trade ammo for consumable goods or offer protection, those are true survival needs. via EPIC4G SRF1.1.0 by Android Creative Syndicate

Fanny Pack for Conceal Carry
zapfbroad replied to UncleJak's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Chuck Norris just keeps mustache grooming material and chewing gum in his fanny pack. He'll take your gun, beat u to death with it, twist it like a balloon animal to look like a sheep then leave it on ur dead body. That's Chuck Norris. via EPIC4G SRF1.1.0 by Android Creative Syndicate
