It's been a while since I have posted a blade being we had to move out for repairs after we were burglarized. So I sat down this past weekend and started fiddling around on paper. I wanted something different, something with lines that were flowing. Something with some size. ( not quite GT size)
So I came up with this basic shape...
Now at this point it sure doesn't look like a lot but I invision all stages that make visual changes. After some time on the grinder, lots of hand sanding and a healthy amount of bead blasting, this is what is on its way to heat treat!i
It's made of 5/32" 01 steel, overall length is 12". I didn't get a measurement on the blade length but I would say around 6 3/4". It will be hardened to 61-62. I left the edge to be sharpened a bit thicker so this blade can be used for some serious chopping without damage or chipping! Thanks for your inspiration Grand Torino!! Cheers to all!
