  1. Got me lusting, got me lusting, got me lusting!!!
  2. I had some really nice Burl Maple stashed so I thought I would put it to use!! Jimping and acid etching almost make this one too pretty to use!!
  3. Thank you all! The logo is an electro-acid etch with a stencil!
  4. After a busy season of holiday orders I finally have pretty much everything completed and a reward for me is in store! 6 1/2 inches of beautiful distal taper with some decorative Jimping. The G 10 scales are absolutely beautiful with stainless steel pins. I think I'm deserving! What do you guys think?
  5. Leave the grind at the bevel that is already there and sharpen it. It probably will round out a bit unless you send it out to Seeattle Edge
  6. Thanks for all the guys that made suggestions for the name of this Knife! I have decided to name will be Predator. 13 inches total 8 1/2 inch blade, made from 5/32 of an inch 01 tool steel, 2 inch wide stock at the widest point, hardening to 61 from peters heat treating. The scales are orange canvas Micarta with bright yellow G-10 liners and very heavy beautiful copper tubes. The scales were sprayed with an antiskid material so it will never slip out of your hands !!The blade was acid etched and taken down to a very very very smooth finish. There is no sheath for this knife, I can guide you to where you can have one made. This particular knife was flat ground almost to zero in the heat treating came out absolutely perfect I can probably guarantee you'll never find a knife sharper than this as it is a practical and legitimate razor blade that can stand up to huge punishment a beautiful combination of severe performance and toughness !! Contact me on my personal email if anyone is interested !! Here's a shot of the anti-slip spray it's really really cool stuff
  7. Thanks GT, I think it's my favorite knife!
  8. Neat!! Something you don't see every day!
  9. These two will be for a customers Father and Father-In-Law for Christmas. The lighter dyed Burl was not my favorite, but it actually grew on me as it was coming along. 1/8" 01 tool steel hardened to 61 by Peters Heat Treating, 11" long with a 6" blade, full flat grind, lanyard hole, beefy brass tubes and mild Jimping should do the job! The toxic green G-10 liners really set the scales off!! It's not as green as the pic shows, against the acid etched blade it looks quite cool! A little clean up and it's off for some leather!
  10. 1/8" 01 tool steel professionally treated to a hardness of 61 at Peters Heat Treating. Approx. 11 1/2" long with a 6 1/2" blade that has a full flat grind that is a preverbial razor like cutter! Presentation grade Amboyna Burl scales with deco pins and a lanyard hole and mild Jimping should make the owner of this beauty very happy! A quick clean up of the blade and off to the sheath maker it goes! The Blue G-10 liners look just right! The balance on this knife is absolutely perfect! Sometimes it all comes together!! I really like this knife!!
  11. Donald that sure is a fine looking blade there and I love the scales!! The talent here ROCKS!
  12. Some people just don't get it..... $70.00 from FGS, REALLY. Actually, anything from FGS REALLY!!!!!!!!!

  14. The wood is called "Curly Pyinma" from southeast Asia! GT contact me if you would like the contact for this type of material!!
  15. I think you did a pretty good job! I don't do leather so I would listen to these guys!
  16. Check out the scales on this one! The Chatoyance in this wood is UNREAL!! I had saved this set as it was an extra little gift from an order I made some time ago and forgot I had it. I don't remember what kind of wood it is. I will try ad find out as it is beautiful!!
