True. I made a batch of 10. It really looks like I am going to have to order .38 anyway, as there is "crimp ring" on these, and I ammo share my GP100 with my Rossi levergun, so I don't want to put these in a tube mag. Oh well, tomorrow is going to be a good day for trying stuff out at the range so this will just be part of the experiments, along with heavy magnum loads, and my first wax slugs.

These prices always make me laugh.

Worried about the "measure" of other men.

Thanks guys. I will try that and see what I get.

My membership must be broken. I don't get calls or mysterious things in my mail.

Slug the barrel? Forgive my ignorance, I do have slugs in my yard, but what good would it do to stick them in a gun? LOL Seriously, what does slug the barrel mean?
-
Thanks yall. These bullets are hard cast, so I will be sure to watch for leading. I think I am going to try and isolate the trials to the GP100 at first as it should be easier to spot/ clean up any leading issues that occur.

I have 500 9mm lead bullets arriving today from Falcon Bullet. They are 147 grain. Given that there is such a small difference in size between the .38/.357 and the 9mm I am wanting to load these in .38 special cases for my Ruger GP100 and Rossi 92 lever action with a moderate charge of 5 grains of Unique. If this is successful I can drop to one bullet for both 9mm and .38. I was wanting to see if anyone had tried this and if they had any input or could share some results or cautions before I do it.

Wayne Lapierre has accounts with Bank of America
Will H replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
I don't care what bank he chooses to use. Besides, even if he intends to close those accounts I think he just might have been a bit too busy to get to it lately. -
Cool, but like Markln asked, why for you stamps?

Midway has some subsonic 22lr in stock

Dang it. I wanted to get a small amount as I have heard reports that my new Beretta Neos will cycle them. Then again, I guess I did not need 50 or pay 15 bucks shipping just for an experiment. LOL -
Yeah, I imagine you feel gorilla stomped. Glad yall are ok though.

The thing I don't get is the argument of "If it saves only one child." Last time I checked School buses still do not have seat belts. -
Old pressure data vs. new pressure data
Will H replied to Will H's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I will check that one out. Thanks. -
Nope.... Never.

I am so going to have to do this. I wonder if I use a scented candle will it make my shotgun smell good... You better clean up that wax before your wife cuts your neck. LOL

Old pressure data vs. new pressure data

Thanks for posting that. Yeah, I know Unique is not ideal for magnum loads, but for right now it's not as simple as run down to the LGS and get a different powder. I think the 8.3 grains will prove to be a very stout load indeed, and not one I would test in a Taurus or something like that. Really it will be a limited use hiking load until I can get something heavy from Buffalo Bore. It looks like the drop from older load data to newer is pretty substantial. Again, thanks for posting that data. -
Very good article. Thank you for posting it.

Yeah, this mess has really illustrated to me the down side of caliber simplification, and the benefits of the shotgun lol. I have had no trouble at all feeding my 12 gauge.

Perhaps you could help the staff out and volunteer to MSRP check everything listed in the classified section. They tried a rule and quickly found it did not work. That's better than what we see in government and a lot of employers where they try a rule, find it don't work and keep trying it anyway. I am not trying to argue, just sayin.

I think they got rid of the 100% markup thing because the market is so volatile right meow no one knows what that value is anymore and it takes too much time to find out. Personally Jacking someone out of money goes against my grain, although I have recently traded two bricks of .Federal 22LR off for 2K CCI small pistol primers.

Happy Easter everyone. My employer may have thrown my donkey in a ditch today, but I hope everyone else has a great day.

I like the comment on the bottom that says "ignorance of the law is not a defense." I love it when people say that so I can remind them that giving or receiving oral sex is still illegal in this state, and that if you allow your wife to drive in Memphis you must walk in front of the car waving a red flag. They are laws still on the books. Granted this does not really apply to something so obvious, but the government has no business carrying on with an expectation that people know the law until the laws are cleaned up. -
So far I have only loaded moderate .357 magnum and 38 spl loads off Alliant's website. It's been fun, but very tame. I did not know they reworked the max loads a few years ago and ended up following a Lyman load from the 90's, as I have an older reloading manual. 158 grain JHP and 8.3 grains of Unique... I think it will wake up my revolver when I test it Wednesday. Anyone know just how much they have reduced the load max over the last few years?

Here's the thing. The guy constantly fires automatic weapons on his property and sets off explosives. Does anyone actually thing the local sheriff has never gotten any complaints, never talked to the guy, and does not know what is going on? Why would the staties not talk to the sheriff, and have him take a couple of agents out there? This is just another one of the "legal invasions" the government likes so much.
