You could make one into a hat I guess. I had no idea they were that hard to kill either. I imagine my 30-30 would do the job though.

Exactly, and we should all know and obey all laws on the books. BTW the following still exists in Tennessee.... Giving and receiving oral sex is prohibited by law. Hollow logs may not be sold More than 8 women may not live in the same house because that would constitute a brothel. No person may keep a cheetah as a pet Throwing stones is prohibited as it might break a window Illegal for a woman to drive a car unless there is a man either running or walking in front of it waving a red flag to warn approaching motorists and pedestrians. (Memphis) You can't shoot any game other that whales from a moving automobile Let's make sure we know and follow all laws. They exist for a reason... And I apparently, am a criminal.

Looking to Buy.....kimber solo......springfield emp...
Will H replied to HOLEPUNCHER's topic in Handguns
Wow. I am really glad my 92fs Beretta does not have Kimber's limitations. I would go broke buying ammo for the range. I know, off topic a bit, but just pointing out with Kimber you do not seem to get what you pay for. -

I hear a lot of good things about Kimber, but i have only ever seen one, a Kimber Custom II at a range. It jammed twice during the 50 or so rounds put thru it. Yeah, they seem over hyped. -
Rifle season. What are you carrying this year?
Will H replied to IggyBcool's topic in Hunting and Fishing
If i go this year it will be my Winchester 94 30-30. Yeah, just a bit old fashioned. -
Glad to see my banks have both backed off. I mainly bank with Wells Fargo as they pay interest on checking accounts and have awesome customer service. Until recently there was not a branch within several hundred miles of me, so I opened a local account with Regions. Compared to Wells Fargo Regions sucks. Now that Wells bought out Wachovia there is now a branch 40 miles from me so I can end my relationship with Regions.

I hate to say it, but I buy all my 9mm from Wallyworld. There is no other source in town, and I know nothing about reloading.

Oh... you said Apex. Nevermind Sorry about that.

If you are looking at it for something as important as a carry weapon you might want to see if you can get a rental at a range, or perhaps join up with a member that has one at a range. Personally I think they beat the Glock with no contest, but that is only my opinion. I even like their feel better than my Beretta, but i will deny that if you tell anyone.

Interesting idea. I have never seen one.

My wife is a wedding photographer, so we have cameras ranging from our $100 point and shoot to her mainline $5000 camera. We are hardcore Nikon fans for DSLRs, mostly due to Nikon's unquestionable grain filtration and advanced optics. However, for the price point you are looking for I would recommend the Canon Powershot. It has been my experience that Nikon is better in the DSLR, but Canon takes the cake in point and shoots, especially for people shots, where warmth is more desirable than technical clarity.

I would seriously suggest the forum thing. I own an automotive forum, and can tell you they are a wealth of information. Find vehicles that you like and find internet forums dedicated to those vehicles. There you will find real people and any issues or problems that they have had. You can then decide which one you really want and be more informed going in as to the real world issues you may have. This can also give you ammo when dealing with the salesmen. I used this process when buying a car for work. I was originally looking at Honda and Toyota for their gas mileage as I drive 80 miles round trip a day. I ended up buying a car for less than 1/2 the price of one of those. I have a manual 5 speed transmission, 155 Horse Power (30 more than a base model Civic), and I average 43-44 mpg combined city and HWY (about 10 more than a base Civic) and I only paid $7,500 for it used with 30,000 miles. Believe it or not the car is a Chevrolet, which is a plus for a good ole boy like me. The important thing is that you get the vehicle that is going to meet the needs you have and as many as the wants as possible.

Oh, and I ordered her a scope this week. It's a 3-9x 40mm Tasco scope I found on Ebay used for $20.00. Seemed like a good deal, as this is not going to be used for the next filming of Top Shot. lol

One more update I went to the range again this morning to try out a new Beretta mag, and brought the Glenfield along. We are now up to 500 rounds fired thru it with no FTF, FTE, or anything else, using all cheap Federals. I love this thing! It has an extractor on each side, and hits those rounds like a hammer.

You mentioned Nashville. I do not know how far out you are willing to go, but there is a 100 yard range at the Natchez Trace State Park on I40 at exit 116. I go there a lot, in fact I am going there today. lol

Marine Reservist shot, mistaken for bear
Will H replied to Lumber_Jack's topic in Hunting and Fishing
This is very sad. Safety was the responsibility of the hunter, and not the person just out for a stroll. Even if the hunter is not charged he should loose his right to bear arms... I do not say that lightly, believe me. I think that is one of the most fundamental rights we have, but this guy should not have it anymore. -
Worst movie in history... David Allen Coe in Buckstone County Prison.

Possibly.... Or maybe they have the taste for freedom and want to keep it. The simple fact is we do not know what we did there. Obama's preaching up one side and down the other during his campaign about pulling the troops out immediately right up until his security briefing then backing off proves that we do not know the whole story about why we were there or what we accomplished. My point is you do not tell the "enemy" what you are going to do before you do it. It's called OPSEC (Operational Security). Every enlisted person in the military knows it, and our Commander in Chief just gave away the plan. All he had to do is go to the JCS (Joint Chiefs of Staff) with over 100 years of combined military experience and say "I want the troops out of Iraq quickly and quietly." He could not do that though, because then he could not have maximized the political credit for it.
-
Obama is such an idiot. Pulling all the troops out is a good thing, but what he just did was to tell the insurgents to wait, build up their strength, position themselves, and get ready for an all out assault on the new government in January. What a moron. If we are pulling out great. I am all for it, and then some. But, for crying out loud don't announce it to the world! He just increased the probability that their new government will fall and everything we did would be laid to waste!
-
Nope, but that is what I told her.... Now, THAT is what she said.

I gotta try one of these out.
