  1. Ok, I will take the scorn and the ribbing and recommend one of these. I have bought one for my dad and one for my self. Both are awesome. http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/577/products_id/87905/Handguns/Heritage/Heritage%20Rough%20Rider%2022/22M%206.5%20BL/ http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/577/products_id/74603/Handguns/Heritage/Heritage%20RR22999MB6%20Rough%20Rider%20Combo%2022LR/22%20Mag%206.5/quot;%209rd%20C/
  2. I love my 92fs, but fully agree. It's a hoss of a weapon and way to big for daily carry IMO. I much prefer to carry my PX4 Subcompact. It's slightly larger than a G26, but also has more capacity as it is 13+1.
  3. Hmmm... Cannot say that I ever do any wallerin around with my Beretta, and I have never paid $1,800 for a gun, so I guess you got me there. I did have a shoot off with a friend of mine at the Natchez Trace range a couple of months ago. My 92fs and his G19 until one malfunctioned. We shot round for round and ended up going thru all 1200 rounds without either one malfunctioning. I am not saying anything bad about the Glock. They are fine weapons. I am just saying it's a matter of personal choice. That's all.
  4. It's true that Berettas do not play well in sand, but newsflash.... neither does any other semi auto handgun. It's that nature of the beast. If you carry a Beretta in the desert then come back to the US and buy a Glock you cannot compare the two, well, unless you live in Arizona maybe. The bottom line is in the environment we live in both are extremely reliable. That said I do not believe the military will keep the Beretta around for another 25 years. It was a fantastic replacement for the 1911, but times are changing. I also do not think it will be replaced by a striker fired handgun. My personal belief is that it will be replaced by a handgun based, at least in part, on the Metal Storm technology.
  5. Look on Craigslist for Memphis and search for "ammo". They are advertised on there all the time. That said I have never bought or even called them, only seen them.
  6. Although I am sub'd to Nutnfancy, I must admit I have never made it thru one of his videos. He plays with some cool toys, maybe not as many as FPSRussia, but still cool stuff. He just annoys me because he is such a know-it-all. I would MUCH rather watch Hickock45, FateofDestinee, tnoutdoors9, or FPSRussia. That and even I have noticed that sometimes NF is just plain out wrong about some of the things has passes off as fact.
  7. I hope that someone does offer this... I live on the boarder of the swamp land to the north east of Memphis. I could easily run the person offering this broke.
  8. I would also choose the Beretta. Both are fantastic weapons, but the Beretta is sexy.
  9. I still like my test. Take your handgun to the range and run 400 rounds of decent ammo thru it as fast as you can. If it does this without ANY problems it's prolly pretty good. Then again, I am no expert or professional pistolero.
  10. Beautiful. There really is nothing like a Beretta.
  11. Welcome to the forum.
  12. Simple. People in Memphis are crazy as hell.
  13. I CC myself, but feel there is noting wrong with OC. I am just one of those people who are genuinely uncomfortable being the subject of other people's attentions. That said I don't get all stressed about printing either. In a state where CC and OC are legal with permit there is no need in worrying about a little printing imo.
  14. Nah, even if he is found to be the aggressor they will just switch focus from Zimmerman to "the young man's life so oppressed that he felt violence was the only answer." It's either Zimmerman's fault or society's fault. Treyvon is not responsible for his own actions.
  15. Hate: Feminine hygiene commercials. Good Commercial: "Hey you dang woodchucks! Quit chuckin my wood!!!"
  16. I have heard it said that Ron Paul is our last best chance for a constitutional executive branch. I believe that is true. That said Romney does have a better chance of beating Obama as things stand now. Still I wonder if 10 years from now we will say "We really should have listened to Ron Paul." So, if RP runs as an independent do I vote for Romney, a vote against Obama, or do I vote my conscience and politics be damned? An interesting question.......
  17. 100 of them beating someone up? Damn. I only carry 27 rounds on me. I really need more mags for my Storm Subcompact.
  18. That would make a brilliant "how to" thread. **hint hint**
  19. subscribed. Looks cool.
  20. I would be quite interested, and have been looking at that site for some time now. There seems to be no progress or comments on it in months. I keep hoping that someone will come out with one. "Just go buy another rifle" is not a good answer for me as I have purchased 4 guns this year and the wife has cut me off saying "you are cut off buying guns, or else you are cut off from other things." Women always seem to have that upper hand. LOL
  21. I go to Gander Mountain to find what I want, especially if it is a handgun. They have more than most places. Once I find what I want I can then go somewhere else to buy it. A perfect example was the two BX-25 mags I just bought for my 10/22. $39.99 from Gander and $25.00 from our forum sponsor Joe Bob's Outfitters.
  22. Very good video presented very well. Thanks.
  23. I wonder just how much weight the roof of my car will support.... Turrets are cool.
  24. I have not worked out in 18 years. That is when I got out of the Army. That said I do work around the house building things, repairing things, and I hike. I am significantly overweight, but I am strong from physical work. I have not noticed any physical effects from my extra weight, so I ignore it. I like the idea of being strong enough to survive, but yet having a vast energy reserve. I hope I never have to find out if I have reached a good balance or not.
