I got a good deal on a couple of BX-25's from a vendor on here. Joe Bob's Outfitters. They have a code you can find in their vendor section that will save you a bit more. I don't remember what I paid exactly, but it was less than $50 for two, including shipping costs.

I then shot it over a few weeks without cleaning to test reliability. It starting giving me trouble after 3,500 rounds. I called it successful and went back to cleaning after every range session.

I back up everything on an external hard drive and keep it in my dad's gun safe. He made copies of all his important stuff and keeps it in my gun safe. I like that a lot better than backing up my important stuff to a 3rd party company by uploading it all via the internet. Oh yeah, it would be the perfect excuse for the government to bypass the police, and use the regular US Military, or the National Guard, against Americans on US soil. Sure, they might not react that way everywhere, probably not Tennessee, but other places might.

I echo the above post. I carry a Storm subcompact everyday and love it. 13+1 rated +P+ is real hard to beat. Beretta has been making guns for almost 500 years, so even though they are not the popular flavor of the day they are still very good at what they do. It really does come down to trying them out and buying the one that fits you best.

I got no problem with Glocks. They are fantastic weapons. The only problem I have is with people you meet at the range, or dealers that drank the Glock-aid. They can be quite annoying. They seem not to understand that if Colt sucked they would not be in business for over 100 years, and if Beretta sucked they would not be in business after almost 500 years. People, in general, are narrow minded I think.

I completely understand that. One of the reasons I do not fly is the high probability that I would get violent with someone who decides they need to grope on my daughter.

Tried to watch the video, but could only take about 15 seconds of Alex Jones. I will say that the TSA has stopped any interest I have in flying. I have not been on a plane now in a few years, and will not be again so long as they exist. I find roads go anywhere I care to.

I typically CC so as not to attract undue attention, but you cannot listen to me, as I carry a Beretta. I am sure that if I ever used it the slide would fly off and take my head clean off my shoulders.

You do not have to remove the mag to remove the slide. In fact you can remove the slide with a full mag and one in the chamber. You can even remove the slide with one in the chamber, put the slide back on, and pull it back and eject the round from the chamber. You can also chamber a round, remove the slide, place it back on, lock the slide, and fire it in DA. Disclaimer: I do not own a M9A1, so it might not be possible with them. I know a couple of internal parts are different with them.

The funniest was a couple of years ago when a cop talking the slide pull off crap while I was looking at a 92 compact. At first he seemed like he meant well, but then he turned obvious gun snob so I told him I did not believe him. I said "here I'll show you." We both checked the gun to make sure it was clear and when I would not point it at him like he wanted he just said to point it as close to him as I was comfortable with. I did, and as soon as his arm moved toward it I said "bang." He was less than pleased.

Well, as we all know the Mexican government has been unable to do much of anything to shut down the cartels. This is one of those little things that will make their people think the government is on the job and making a difference.

Ok, so some give me guff for carrying a Beretta saying "someone could just pull the slide off the gun. I saw it done." The source of this is the last Lethal Weapon movie where Jet Li (a real badass btw) pulled the slide off Mel's Beretta. Take a close look at this photo in the dead center. The takedown lever has already been unlocked and flipped down. There is nothing holding the slide on the gun. If Jet Li cannot pull the slide off without having the gun set up for him no one else can without getting shot. Yeah. /RANT. Sorry, I went to a gun store yesterday and heard the same old line from the guy behind the counter. LOL

I got a 9-shot Heritage Rough Rider .22 from my girls. Awesome.
