  1. Yeah, Maybe I just need to watch the rest of the second season before making rash judgements, afterall, there are zombies involved. LOL
  2. I too am in.
  3. Netflix now has season 2, so I am just watching that. Not having cable sucks sometimes, but it's not worth what they want for it imo. So far season 2 is ok, but too much "human" drama. Seriously, Can we not just wack zombies?
  4. I have checked out several other <insert state name>gunowners sites as I travel to and from other states. Just about every other state has a site of a similar title to this one, but I find this one to be the most informative. Perhaps you should stay. The rare time you may have to get on here would still keep you connected to the shooting community, new products, and the state of Tennessee in general. It might become a good treatment for the occasional home sickness. Just sayin.
  5. Yep. That's what I meant. LOL
  6. Welcome to the forum. Glad to have you.
  7. I agree with the above, but it really depends on what you are looking for. I have a 10/22 with a Volquartsen target hammer, auto bolt release, ejector, an ATI stock, and a scope. I love it and it will shoot a 1,000 round range session with no hiccups at all. My wife has a Marlin Model 60 that is nowhere near as reliable when the rounds fired gets above 300 without cleaning, BUT the Ruger's stock barrel cannot hold a candle to Marlin's micro-groove barrel. Assuming you are going to stay with the stock barrel on either then I would say Ruger for reliability and Marlin for accuracy.
  8. I did not get to see the whole thing last night, but from what I saw it was really bad. Mitt ate him alive.
  9. Yeah, I saw that earlier on those FB pages. Funny stuff right there. It's his gun and he can ask what he wants for it, but to say he spent 1250 on it is just an outright lie.
  10. Very nice. Gotta love a Beretta.
  11. I have also seen the occasional split case with no other ill effects.
  12. I carry my 9mm Storm subcompact with 13 in the mag and 1 in the chamber, all +p+. I carry with the safety/decocker on, and practice flipping it off with my thumb during draw. You can make this method plenty safe and fast via practice. Practice is always the key to a successful defense. There are very few evil doers out there that are practiced, so it's really the one advantage we have over an armed attacker. IMO
  13. I love my Mosin, and most especially that "hammer of Thor" 54r round. The idea of shooting that semi auto is making me drool.
  14. An individual loss is hard enough to deal with, but when they pile up and distract from one another it becomes that much harder to deal with each one. There is nothing that any of us can really say, except to hold you and yours up before the lord. All our best.
  15. I occasionally carry my Beretta 92fs, inside the belt, but outside pants. It's not too often that I carry it though, as it tends to poke and pinch.
  16. I work in Jackson at the plant that makes this. We make all of them in the US. Edit - pic removed because it was removed by the hosted site and was requesting authentication from users over here.
  17. HA HA HA... I had to save this one for my sig. I have been needing one anyway. Yeah, I cannot swallow that the Mayans could predict my ending, but could not predict their own.
  18. I must be the only person carrying with a $10.00 Walmart belt and having no issues at all. What are the issues that a "good gun belt" helps with? Sorry if dumb, but one never knows till they ask.
  19. Awesome intro thread. Welcome.
  20. I carry everyday that I am not working. LOL I will not go into any business that are posted. My daughter's school and of course the court house, etc are the only exceptions.
  21. Yeah, I have put over 200 rounds of Russian steel core thru my Mosin with the Brass Stacker on it and it has worked great. I recently took it off, but that was just because I decided I like the stock look best.
  22. It might not have been the airport security cop's fault. That pistol might have been an all ceramic Glock 7. He would not know much about using that gun, as it costs more than his chief makes in a year.
  23. I prefer the Brass Stacker mount. Sure, it does not look like the Russians put it there, but you can still iron site with it, and it's steel.
  24. You would rather trade your freedoms and privacy for a feeling of security? That is, imho, exactly what they are counting on.
