2. My entry is my Ding Dong Cake. 1 box devil's food cake mix 8 oz cream cheese (soft) 8 oz Cool Whip 3 cups powdered sugar 1 container of milk chocolate icing 1 stick of butter (soften it up) Prepare and bake cake as directed on box in 2 round cake pans In a bowl mix the butter and cream cheese. Add powdered sugar and fold in Cool Whip. Don't over mix in the Cool Whip or it will flatten After the cakes are completely cooled split the layers and spread filling on each layer and stack them up. Then ice entire cake with the chocolate icing. You will be able to put a thick layer of filling between the layers. Serve at room temp. Putting it in the fridge will make it too hard. My wife loves my Ding Dong. Try this and your wife will love your ding dong too...
3. The Federal 100 round 9mm boxes at Wally world are also special for them. If you turn the box over there is a WM at the beginning of the UPC code. I have heard of several people having trouble with these rounds. I don't know if all Federal Champion is like this or not, as I only shoot 9mm and .22 anymore.
4. I think an attorney MIGHT be able to talk me into pleading guilty for writing bad checks, slander, or other minor things even though I have done none of them. Sometimes it is easier to plead out than to go to trial, even if you are innocent. However, crimes like domestic violence and sexual misconduct carry penalties that last longer than murder in some cases. I realize that in some cases these penalties like registrations for the rest of your life go against your right to do your time then be done with it, but they are there never the less. I agree with Dolomite that anyone who would lay hands on a woman is a POS. I further say that there is nothing any lawyer could say to be that would cause me to plead guilty to one of these "forever punishment" crimes that I did not do. Anyone who is dumb enough to plead guilty to a domestic crime or sex crime they did not do is not someone I, for one, want to ever be armed again. They are just too dumb. Just my opinion.
5. I can see why some people do not like the DA/SA action, but I am pretty sure if I am in a self defense situation I would not be bothered by trigger pull differences, especially the likely hood of 3 rounds 3 seconds from 3 feet.
6. I always CC, even when hiking. I carry outside the pant, yet inside the belt, so it does not seem to cause comfort issues aside from a little extra sweat.
7. I now carry my Beretta Px4 Storm Subcompact with the safety off, decocked. I put the safety on when holstering it, make sure the weapon is just right, then flip off the safety.
8. Welcome, and yeah that would be a fantastic area to move to. It's beautiful there. If it was not for family here in West Tennessee I would look at moving east myself.
9. Uh... I did not say anything about killing anyone. All I said was that, in my opinion, being antigun is a vastly large part of the democrat platform. I don't think that is hard to prove. Like you I think there are anti-gun Republicans out there, but I cannot guarantee that there are. They seem to keep it low toned if they exist at all. The point is that I can not see how someone can all themselves Democrat and at the same time try to speak of unity to the 2A community. I am not trying to offend here, but being a democrat is part of the problem because that is the party seeking to ban our rights. You cannot sit in the mud and not get muddy, just like you cannot, in my opinion, be a Pro 2A democrat. I could understand if the republicans were treading on the 1A. You know, like trying to make legislation labeling hate speech, or things like that. I myself feel the 1A is more important than the 2A, but that is the only thing that is more important. The Prez made his intentions clear during the last debate speaking of the AR ban and mentioning pistols. If someone saw that and still voted for him they are not Pro 2A. They are just Democrats that happen to "like guns."
10.
Not trying to be a pain, but China is not who we need to be worried about. We buy all their stuff. They have no desire in screwing us. Then they have no one to buy the things they are making, and they don't get paid back on the debt we owe them. China is not going to invade the US. As for preparing for similar scenario of some sort, I'd say learn to hunt and have things saved in more than 1 spot as has been said already.
You sure about China? Why else would they be building stealth air superiority fighters? Who else would they want to fight with them? http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703808704576061674166905408.html I agree it makes no sense for them to invade us, but I am not willing to swear everything they do makes sense.
11. I do not understand how someone can possibly call themselves a pro 2A Democrat. It's like a calling yourself a Republican and supporting all the social programs that come down the pipe. IMO, and not meaning to offend, the anti-2A stance is fundamental to the Democrat platform and is such a large issue it cannot be ignored.
12. Not that I think this could happen, but in this situation we would just leave the area and go to our buried resupply point.
13. Mine would have to be my evil black Ruger 10/22. I could bring my bucket o' ammo and have fun all day long.
14. I know that I am in a minority here, but I think W was a fine president... During his first term. Just like a lot of war time presidents I think 9/11 took something out of him. I think it was too much for him, and probably would have been too much for anyone else too. His mistake was running for a second term. He was used up and should have known it. I think he did know it. There was a change to his attitude and he went from being plain spoken to "I don't really care." If he had stuck to one term I think he would have been remembered in a totally different way, and might not have run off to live his life out as the hermit he is now.
15. I just thought of one good thing about the way the election went. We will not have to worry about that Russian attack sub that was found in our territorial waters, the two new stealth fighter designs that China is testing, or the new aircraft carrier that China just put to sea. It would be totally illogical for them to attack us now with the fantastic job we are doing at self-destruction.
16. Best most comfortable for me is the Beretta Storm series.
17. Man, I really hate living all the way over here in West TN... All our shows here are posted, so of course I do not go.
18. An idiot with a badge. Yeah, I hope he gets fired. There is no excuse for such a lapse in judgement if an accident. If this was on purpose he needs to do time for it.
19. Living in Haywood county so near Memphis I might be in the middle of it should riots around these parts happen. I have no illusions of actually winning. But, everything I have will be locked and loaded, and I guarantee if we go down they will bleed for it.
20. Very good info in this thread. I don't have enough experience with the 300/308 round to add anything meaningful, but good info here. Thanks.
21. One more reason you cannot go wrong with a Beretta.
22. ... or maybe a minor outbreak of Captain Trips.
23. I am going to have to see how using mine goes over. I live in Haywood County. MUAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
24. I can understand Hussein getting elected in 08, after all he talked a hell of a game. I cannot believe that Americans are actually dumb enough to elect him again. Yeah, I make the same jokes about how dumb we as a society are, but when it comes right down to it I just cannot believe we are THAT stupid.
25. Watched the rest of season two. I was wrong. The last couple of episodes made up for the slowness of the middle ones very nicely.
