  1. http://youtu.be/wFHgF4OiStw In the description of the video I put a link to a website that automatically emails your state and federal officials. There's some points already listed, but feel free to add your own info. Not trying to spam the thread, but I wanna keep up the fight!
  2. Sad to read the prices from a year ago, compared to today. Especially with the threat of the AWB. http://youtu.be/RhQxiMOGwbw   In the video it shows that a Yugo on Gunbroker was going for $1400... Not just a one time thing either.
  3. I think I'll continue the search for a CETME or FN FAL. They have to be out there somewhere. I hope
  4. So no range until Monday?
  5. Might have seen you there. I cannot remember exactly when we got there. It was definitively close to 4 and stayed till nearly dark.
  6. My father had two CETME's. Both looked and shot great. One was a little finicky with different mags but it still worked. I know Century pretty much butchered 75% of these rifles during assembly. And from what I can tell they have stopped making the CETME rifles. Maybe there's a good used one out there? I would love to have a dependable G3 clone style rifle (or FN FAL) but around $500. Is it realistic to find a used one of these, or have they dried up in the market? Any other input is greatly accepted! Maybe I'm asking too much.
  7. I'm somewhat new to the forum. Myself and a couple of my friends came to the Norris Range earlier today. There were a lot of great folks and I just wondered if anyone from the range is also a member here. If it helps any, I was the guy with the steel gong Happy shooting
  8. You guys said it. You don't have to necessarily prepare for a zombie apocalypse, Chinese invasion, or a pretty North Korean firework heading our way. You can prepare all you want though. That way if anything big or small happens - you'll be ready One handy thing to do is stack up on things you can use any day. Say you stack up on cans of the delicious fancy cut green beans. They can last on the shelf for quite some time. But if you want to use the can, do so. Just next time you go to the store buy an extra can of green beans to replace the can you used. You can do this with a lot of foods and supplies. It can be a constant rotation.
  9. Dad had a suppressed Mark II. I'm loving my Mark III

Talking with a Russian accent, lots of guns, and lots of explosions (with or without harming watermelons)
  11. What are the odds of that happening? Stuff like that just doesn't happen.
  12. ^ Ditto!
  13. I've been looking for a gun forum to join. Plus, I live in and love Tennessee. Only seemed appropriate. My friends call me Smitty, but Smitty is always taken as a username. So I go by Smittyman. Born in Sevierville/Seymour. Live in Knoxville. I guess I'm what you call a young gun. Living in my college years. Education Major. But once I graduate I want to give Law Enforcement a shot. My father was in the Military, Law Enforcement, and Private Security. I feel like it's in my blood. I want to give it a year or two before I decide to teach. If I like it I like it. If not, go on to teach. Big into guns, and learning more and more about them. Interests... I'm interest in anything outdoors. I'm an outdoor nut, Eagle Scout, etc. Also big into computers and technology. As to the guns I have, I say mostly what I have is military surplus rifles. I want to pick up some more modern firearms for my "collection." I used to shoot at the (I think) TWRA range off of Rifle Range Road in Knoxville. Now I'm a member to the Norris Rifle Range. I actually heard about the Norris Rifle Range reading on this forum. Thanks! And thanks again for reading!
