As an Insurance Appraiser, I am daily in people's neighborhoods and driveways looking at their cars. At least once a week, I get asked by a neighbor if they can help me or what I'm doing. I haven't jumped any of them yet. I have asked a few of the more aggressive if they'd like to write the estimate for me. If Martin had turned and talked to Zimmerman right off, they could have had a pleasant chat, until the police arrived. Or 911 could have heard the conversation and determined everything was Code 4.

If you do that, he knocks your ass on the ground, and that's it. No. He knocks you on the ground, then starts smashing your skull on the sidewalk, you're getting warmer.

I guess "Was polite to some one on the way home from 7/11" doesn't play well on FB and Twitter. "Some cracker asked me what I was doing and I bashed his head on the sidewalk" gets you much better street cred.

"Hey, what are you doing around here?" "On my way back to my Dad's from 7/11; got some skittles and tea. See ya." "Oh, umm, ok." How about that for a possibility? Or has all rationality and courtesy gone from the world? Oh, right. Never mind.
