I live in the South Nashville area and I need to find someone to repair a window air conditioner. It is a two year old Frigidaire 25,000 BTU window unit. Thought it would last longer than that, but that is the quality of most things in the US today. It sounds like the compressor is trying to kick on, but am only getting slightly cooler air. Does anyone know a place that works on window units? Is it even worth the effort to repair or should I just replace it? Any help is appreciated.

I ordered something last week that shipped from Pennsylvania. It went from PA to Anchorage, Alaska to Memphis and then to Nashville. And people wonder how the USPS is always in the red.

Dr. Scott Dube at Nashville Bone & Joint at Summit Hospital did both my surgeries. Great orthopedic surgeon. Give him consideration.

As a follow up, physical therapy is painful, but it gets better after each session. Along with the therapy I was set up at home with a mechanical device that you strap your leg into and it progressively bends your knee over time increasing flexibility. It's a boring process, two 45 minute sessions a day, so invest in Netflix. Given the pain I was in prior to surgery, I would not hesitate to have them replaced again. It is great not to be in pain with every step.

I have a Fenix LD15 that has been riding in my pocket for years. Very rugged little light using 1 AA battery. Very bright and has not failed me yet. It gets used a lot.

I have had both knees replaced at different times. Both times recovery and physical therapy was about twelve weeks. It takes about a year for the knee to feel fully normal.

Looking for Nashville Credit Union/Banking suggestions

Do not go with Suntrust!!! I opened my account with Third National Bank (now Suntrust) in 1978. I have been happy with them until two weeks ago. Went in to deposit my paycheck on Dec. 23, the check was dated Dec. 24. The drive through teller would not accept my deposit. I left angry and drove directly to another branch and they processed my transaction with no problem. I decided to see if this was a fluke and repeated the process this week, same situation. Again this branch refused to take my deposit (no cash back mind you) because the check was dated day after. I tore the acting manager a new a**hole and left. I went to the branch inside Kroger at Hickory Hollow and made my deposit. I have written Suntrust Corporate, but have not had a response yet. I don't know why the asshats at the Nolensville Rd. by Southern Hills are doing things different than all other branches, but I am probably moving my money elsewhere. -
I don't mind waiting for service if the employees are obviously busy with other customers, but to be ignored otherwise is a deal breaker. I walked out of a LGS with $1500 that I was ready to make a purchase right then and there because two employees doing nothing at all stood talking to each other while I waited at the counter with no one else in the store. I purchased the same AR at another store the same day. It was a small store and I am sure the owner, who was not there would not want to lose that sale, but if you don't provide reasonable customer service, word will spread.

I had an Metro Nashville LEO stop and help me when I blew a radiator hose on McGavock Pike one morning. Couldn't get the bad hose clamp to work and lost a lot of coolant. He took the time to drive me to a nearby auto parts place, wait for them to open (early AM) and drive me back to my car. He didn;t have to do that, he could have just as easily called a tow truck. He wasn't on patrol as he was on the way to practice exiting a helicopter on a rope. I have the utmost respect for our police force. You might have a bad apple sometimes, but most are great people doing a tough job with little thanks. What kind of society would we be without them, -
So let me get this straight. You have to do an hours long upgrade to get your OS to run like two versions back? No thanks, I will stick with my three year old Mac. Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk

I had a friend who had wild blackberries behind his house, I like blackberries so I pulled me up a root. Planted the thing in my backyard, watered it, cut around it all summer with the mower and it still looked like a stick at the end of the summer. Yanked it out the ground and tossed it into the bushes. Next spring thorny blackberry bushes everywhere. Made the birds happy, they got them before I did.

We have a Roku 3 and the new Amazon Fire TV stick. Both work well for streaming, but I like the Roku 3 much better. The Amazon interface is a little clunkier.

I was in Columbia, SC for the holiday. Stopped by Palmetto State. It was busy, but all I bought was some ammo. They had some pretty good deals, lots of staff who were eager to help. Wish they had one in Tennessee. -

I was just at the Walmart in Antioch and they had a few boxes of "Thunderbolt" and probably ten boxes of "Yellow Jackets" on the shelf. I didn't take any and there wasn't anyone in the area looking at ammo. -
If you are using it strictly for reading books, you can't go wrong with the Kindle Paperwhite. Very affordable, great backlit screen and excellent battery life. I use mine daily and only have to charge it about every two weeks.

Check out Republic Wireless which works through the Sprint network. I have the Moto G phone $179.00 and $25 dollars per month plan with no contract. It's been working well for me and my wife for six months. I switched from AT&T and an iPhone 3. The Moto G is just as good in my opinion and the data plan is pretty darn good. The only downside is the Moto G from Republic Wireless will not work on another carrier if you decide to change, but hey, it's only $179 bucks.
