I've been holding out for the 9mm also. but at least the price was fair. I've seen some people asking as much as $650 for them.
-
I just came across this and thought someone may want it. Grabagun.com has 1 left If you have been hunting for this hard to find gun. I have a PSA lower with a PSA lower parts kit. I put a BCM upper on it and it has been running fine with over 1000 rounds through it.

ok so I think it is going to be between an ar-10 type rifle or an M1A. I can get the ar-10 and a good scope for the price of the M1A and I would have a more accurate rifle. but the M1A is just cool as hell.
-
A bolt gun is also a good option. That would meet my desire for a sub MOA rifle. Is an AR-10 capable of sub MOA (in the hands of the right shooter)?
-
The M1A has been very High on my list only question about that is which one. I really like the socom but do I really want another 16" barreled gun. The Scout is also very nice and that gets me up to 18" then there is the standard with the 22" barrel. I've read some where that with the m1a there is little difference in velocity and accuracy with the longer barrels but I'm not sure how true that is.

other interest would be a nice rig for a SHTF situation. Lucky for me my wife can be pretty paranoid and with all the "zombie" stuff going on in the last year and the doomsday preppers shows she has been more open to my hobby. I already reload and have everything I need except the .308 dies. would really love to have a sub MOA gun. I would also like to have a nice well rounded gun collection. current guns are below. Ruger 22/45 hunter ruger lcp Glock 19 Glock 30sf Taurus 605 poly .357 ruger 10/22 Marlin 1894c .357 mossberg 500 ar15 (palmetto states lower with BCM upper). Soon Saiga 332 to convert.

That actually a good Idea I did not even consider a training class. but it is very easy for me to come up with the 500 or so for the class not as easy to save up 1500.

So my wife had planned to take a trip back to New Jersey and throw me a 40 birthday party in June but I'm really not up for it. So she gave me the go ahead to spend $1500 (give or take a few bucks either way) on a new addition to my growing collection. I was wondering what should I get and was looking for ideas. I was leaning towards a .308 rifle. I should have an AK by then so that will not be on my list. what do you guys think, what is the best value for $1500? keep in mind I don't hunt but love to get out to the range. I would list out the guns I already have but none of them come close to $1500 (not even half that) in value so I won't waste my time.

Stamp on the barrel says Ilion.

ok Benefactor now
-
Ohshoot - it is a newer Remlin but I am actully very happy with the quality of it. JMP - Thanks for the advice I think I will save up and buy the AK I really want since I love the Marlin. I'm actually leaning towards buying an unconverted Saiga and doing the work myself. (looks like a fun project). Dolomite.- I understand my post bordered on a trade request but trust me that was not my intention. I will definitive consider becoming a benefactor. I think my question has been answered please fell free to take this thread down if you like. .

To be honest I love the Marlin but I can always replace it later. I afraid if there is a new AWB I won't be able to get my hands on an AK. Still not sure I want to let the Marlin go, tough to find them in .357.
-
I have a Marlin 1894c in .357 I was think of trading it for an AK 47. What type of AK would be a fair trade?

I don't think god himself could convince you to vote for Obama. Your opinion of Obama and the opinion of many others is swayed so far to one side that nothing could convince you. It does not really matter anyway, fact is there is now way in hell Obama would have a shot of winning the state of Tennessee, Why do you think they don't even bother to campaign here or run many ads. If anyone would even try and make a case as to why and vote for Obama by listing some of his accomplishments the vast majority of conservatives would not consider them to even be accomplishments. But if you still want to see some of the things he has done take a look at the link below. http://www.addictinginfo.org/2012/09/01/a-long-list-of-president-obamas-accomplishments-with-citations/

I understand your view of Obama and I don't expect to change it. I'm just purely talking about gun rights and who do you think would do better supporting the 2nd amendment. so far it looks like Obama.
-
I know I'm not going to sway anyone's opinion of Obama especially here, but since this is a gun forum I also wanted to say something else, both Obama and Romney say one thing and do another when it comes to gun rights. Many people think Obama is out to take everyone guns and although he had some tough talk about gun laws during his original campaign the fact is since Obama took office only 2 pieces of gun legislation has crossed his desk both of which he signed and both of these expanded the rights of gun owners. As for Romney he says he a friend of gun owners and has the support of the NRA but as Governor of MA he signed in a permanent assault weapons ban and implemented some of the toughest gun laws in the country. So you decided when it comes to "GUN LAWS" should you base your opinion of that person based on what they say or what they do? remember actions speak louder then words. Just note before I get flamed my comments in this post are purely related to there stance on gun rights not taxes not socialize or any of the 100 other reasons you hate Obama. Most of you have already decided who you are voting for. I just wanted to point out some fact that gun lovers may have not known or over looked.

just a few points 1. the only reason he did not claim the full amount of deductions is he had stated he never paid less the 13% in taxes. If this year he claimed all the deduction that would have put under 13% and made him look like a liar. 2. once the election is over he can file an amended tax return and get a nice tax refund of about $500k. (peanuts for him but he will do it anyway) 3. although giving to charity is very commendable the vast majority of his givings where to that cult called the mormon church.

I understand some aspect of the new law. I don't understand what would happen to someone like me who has a permit and say does not noticed the little sign on the bottom right corner of the door at buffalo wild wings or say I walk in to rivergate mall through one of the doors that is not posted. I know there is no penalty but would they arrest me, charge me and they I would have to have a lawyer bring up this law in court or would they just tell me to take my gun to my car?

I hope the prices are fair. Some of these high-end ranges like to have high-end prices.

I'll be there. I need a Mil-spec stock and buffer tube assemble for my AR. I hope I can pick one up there. -
go with the CT. It may cost a little more but the grip activated switch is on with just a natural squeeze of the grip vs the other that require a separate motion to turn them on. If you are in a situation whee you need to draw your pocket pistol the last thing you need to worry about is trying to activate a switch.
