  1. Saw this on Facebook this morning then was able to find other links documenting the same thing.    http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2014/06/foghorn/obama-praises-australian-gun-confiscation-vows-act-without-congress/   Is this round two on ammo availability and gun prices?
  2. Walmart on Clinton hwy has 4 1200 round ammo cans of 9mm for $497 and 2 cans of 5.56 for $450 I think, can't recall the round count.
  3. I've been in Charleston, WV for a couple days for my dad's funeral. Stopped in Cableas yesterday and they had a good selection of just about all calibers, including popular ones, except .22. Stopped in Gander Mt today and I don't remember ever seeing as much ammo in one place ever! Tens of thousands of rounds of .223/5.56 in multiple brands. Prices were a bit high, but then it's Gander. About the only ammo that wasn't well stocked was .22 I felt like a kid in a candy store being in both places :)
  4. My family lives in Citrus county and I'm visiting at this time. Makes me miss being in Tn badly. Here I'm always checking to make sure my shirt doesn't blow open, specially visiting dad at the hospital. I know most police would have no problem just check a permit and go on, but there's always that one.
  5. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/193520/federal-automatch-target-ammunition-22-long-rifle-40-grain-lead-round-nose-box-of-325 325 rounds for $15. Shipping is a beast but I ordered a couple other things with no additional shipping cost.
  6. Thanks, I'm down that way a couple times a year and my 36 could sure use a good cleaning.
  7. How much do they charge for the 'spa treatment'?
  8. I'm currently using the Galco KingTuk for my 19 and 36. Before it I was using the Galco Skyops. Both seem to work pretty well for me, specially the KingTuk, sometimes I can barely tell I'm wearing it. I will say it took my a while to get used to having a gun the size of the 19 concealed, but now it feels weird when it's not there. KingTuk http://www.usgalco.com/HolsterPT3.asp?ProductID=4107&CatalogID=7 Skyops http://www.usgalco.com/HolsterPT3.asp?ProductID=2761&CatalogID=7 I'm posting from my phone so not sure the links are working
  9. I found a good deal on one as well. Plus after shooting a friends that was pretty loud I'm hoping the Silent cat will be as promised ... Quieter
  10. Just ordered the Silent Cat from Anazon, can't wait for it to get here and try it out. A friend just bought the Gamo ?Big Cat? and it's pretty sweet too, only bad thing is its LOUD! Sounds about like a .22 going off.
  11. +1 I was homeschooled 1st-12th. Even tho I didn't learn all the liberal, socialist, and godless things they teach in public schools for the most part today, I received a well-rounded education and have since completed a bachelors degree as well as a masters degree. To me not having to learn all the government imposed philosophy, has actually helped me in these days to discern what is right and what is bogus. When you know the truth and it is all you know, you quickly recognize a lie.
  12. Monday from 7-11pm they have Lock and Load Monday. Multiple shows related to firearms and tactics.
  13. Just ordered a case and it says it should be here by the 28th! http://www.midwayusa.com/product/449272/independence-ammunition-556x45mm-nato-55-grain-m193-full-metal-jacket-boat-tail-case-of-500-25-boxes-of-20?cm_cat=CheckoutConfirm&cm_pla=ProductDescrip
  14. I had been using the Galco Skyops for the past 4yrs or so and it has served its purpose quiet well. But I have been looking for one such as the Crossbreed because the Skyops would collapse every time I would take my weapon out (going into 'gun-free' zones). So Monday I found a Galco King Tuk at Craig's Firearms on Chapman Hwy and the difference is amazing! Can't even really feel the gun is there now.
  15. After searching for a couple weeks I had about given up hope of finding one, even a gen3. Called a LGS (South Clinton Pawn) and after a little searching he said they had one 19 in stock and it just happened to be a gen4! Best news is the price was still the same and it came with 3 mags. Now to just find ammo
  16. I just joined too. Thanks for the heads up!
  17. Looks like tightening the gas block solved my problems. Just shot a couple rounds and they cycled perfectly. Thanks again for all the input!
  18. Well I finally found the right sized Allen wrench and tightened it down after making sure it was aligned. Headed out to the range now to check it out.
  19. It has a low profile block. Not sure if the barrel is dimpled or not, hope to work on it more tomorrow.
  20. Not yet ... Haven't had time to do anymore to it
  21. Same here. While I am the furthest person away from being a conspiracy nut, I don't think it's above people in high places to have such a thing committed. There are so many similarities between this and the incident Bracken started his book with its scary. Such as the way the news is twisting different stories of what kind of person the shooter was, how they have already found more guns and found out he was trying to buy more guns just before. I know most people would say what I just said could/would never happen in America and I hope and pray its not the case. But as the Bible says in the last days 'evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse'.
  22. Just checked the gas block and discovered it is a little loose. Hopefully this will solve my problem. I certainly appreciate the help from you guys! I'm pretty new to ar's so I need all the help I can get. I'll be sure to post a follow up as soon as I get to the range and test it out again.
  23. I've been using Tulammo... Used it the last time it was working and that's what I was using today. A friend had the AE. The only thing I haven't been able to clean yet is the entire gas tube. Watched a video by Hickok45 about cleaning the AR and he said to use a long pipe cleaner for it.
