  1. I'm going to brag on Henry for a minute. When my son was born, he's 4 now, I emailed the company about getting a rifle that was made on his birthdate. I figured it was a long shot, but it was just an email to find out. I got an email from the President offering me the personalized serial number. He said they would cover the upcharge for the serial number (about 50 bucks if I remember correctly). So that is what I did. I sent the email to my FFL and he made it happen. Now my son has a .22 golden boy for when he's ready for it. So far, I've resisted the temptation to shoot it until he does, few more years I reckon till I get to shoot it. His rifle has his initials and DOB as the serial number. I would love to have a matching in 44 Mag or .357. Maybe one day. I hope he has his forever and if I ever get the one I want he can have it too.
  2. Guess I got lucky with the shipping time. To me it is turning out to be a great intro into a hybrid holster. I've spent that much on cheap paddle holsters.
  3. I was at D&T Arms in Goodlettsville a couple of weeks ago, and they said that they had a guy coming in that weekend that made them. I actually understood that he made them while you waited (not sure how long the wait would be). You might call them up and ask them. And as a bonus, their close to you.
  4. Just wanted to give a shout out for this company. I recently ordered a few holsters from them. A few weeks after making my order, I decided to change one to another gun. Call was made and they said that it would be changed. I got a shipping notification the next day. Holster came in a few days later and it was the one I originally ordered. It didn't bother me, because I figured that they were pulling my order about the time I was changing it. Called the company, asked them to make the change they said no problem. I asked if they needed to get the first holster back first, they said no, just send it as soon as you can. I received the new holster about a week later. Seems to be a very good hybrid style holster, although it is my first one of this type. Price is great on them, about 30 buck depending on options. They have a 30 day money back guarantee , and lifetime changes, so if you change your carry gun, they will change out your holster, or at least the kydex part (not sure how that exchange policy works. It's comfortable and hid a full size Glock on me well (although I exchanged that for and XDS). Turn around time the first time was about 3 weeks and I ordered 4 at that time.
  5. if your going to get a GC in that year I would go with the inline 6 engine. Still horrible gas mileage (probably 14-18 range) especially compared to a Fusion, but IMHO a better engine. I would trust it to go longer. And this is just me, but I like to buy Jeeps in their stock configuration, not already built. Easier to know what has and hasn't been done to them and if it has been done right. Not sure if you work on your on vehicles, but if your going to buy any vehicle with that many miles on it, you better be prepared to. If possible, I would suggest getting a Jeep like this for a secondary vehicle, you'll be able to have more fun with it on the weekend and not worry about getting to work on Monday.
  6. Picked my set up tonight. Very nice. Don't know how to post pics, or I would. Great transfer by the guys at D&T. Thanks to all who made this happen.
  7. I'm in for at least 1 lower and depending on price an upper.
  8. L.A. Police gear is clearancing out several Maxpedition bags and I think the gear slinger is one of them. I have a 5.11 MOAB Rush 10 which is a sling bag that I like. 5.11 has some nice bags and Nashville Armory (and several other places like Academy and BPS) carry them. Most of the 5.11 bags have a compartment set up for a handgun. They also have a Covert bag that is not tactical looking, just looks like a backpack.
  9. Best I can tell if you buy Dillon you pay the same no matter where you buy it. I understand wanting to buy local and commend you for it, but I'll put in another plug for Brian Enos, I was very happy with their service. I like my 650 for what it's worth, but it is expensive to go from one caliber to another. that might be something to add to your pro's and con's list if you are looking at multiple presses.
  10. So were they limiting you to (5) 100 round packs or were they busting up cases and selling to you. I've only ever bought primers in 1000 packs, but I think 100's are available. I understand your frustration if they were bulk packs that they are breaking down to smaller packs for resale.
