  2. i have seen a few copperhead bites. painfull but no lasting damage. saw results of one rattlesnake bite. it wasnt pretty. the guy lost about half of his lower calf muscle. seems like they are rather potent.
  3. i know this subject has beaten to death. i do not wont to start anything. the way i read 39-17-1359 doesnt even the federal gov. have to post in tn. or all they can do is ask you to leave. do not plan on being a test case on this end
  4. looks kind of dumb to me he set the gas can down right under where he was lighting the sample AND didnt put a cap on the spout.
  5. what is it with these women? a few years back my wife proceded to show me how to bounce beer cans around at about 30 ft. with a snub-nosed 38
  6. sounds like the tellers at regions in soddy-daisy. one of them told me her boss was just protecting her
  7. it is illegal to harm a snake in tenn. in anyway. the fine is rather stiff.
  8. not a tracker but over the years all the cat tracks i have confirmed were in a very straight line like those in the pics. have to go with cat.

    SNOW!!!

retired, plenty of beer, food, milk, bread. hope the power doesnt go off like it did in 93. have a big gen. but a lot older than then. dont want to be sliding around in the snow at my age things break too easy. last year was the first time in my life that i didnt get out and play in the snow.
  10. loose clothes all the time. have no problem hiding 8 in. 44 with shoulder holster. close friends that know will take bets on if or what i am packing for the day.
  11. i always carry cocked and locked. but let me say this about tn. state troopers. i have been stopped 2 times since i got my permit in 97. both troopers read me the riot act over cocked and locked. both removed the round from the chamber and handed my weapon back. both said to me you always have time to rack the slide. figure that one out.

    Railgun

my son built one of those things for a science project when he was in high school. it was small threw a quarter size piece of aluminum about 15 ft. judges said it wouldnt work, but wouldnt let him test fire it at school.
  13. before i retired i drank michelob. usually took 4-5 cases camping. seems like it disapeared real quick with the crowd then we drank theirs. money decreased went to old milwaulkees best lite. had to learn to like it but now i take less beer camping and still have some left. turned out to be a good financial decision on my part.
  14. my neighbor has one that fires when the safety is flipped off. he hasnt used it in about 4 years. does he need to contact remington or try to find a gunsmith in this area to fix it?

    Dangerous Dogs

dont care what breed if it is so big i cant hold it off with my hands it is a dead dog. ps i was raised with dogs at one time my dad had 30 plus penned or chained. i think he had everything but a doberman. been bit a few times my dad was bitten. when the dog couldnt be controled it was destroyed which didnt happen often. i would never have a problem with a small dog that bit me but the bigger ones i will deal with as the time requires
  16. unless i have a medical problem that requires it i will not go there period. nothing they have that i can not buy somewhere else
  17. dont have any idea why there would be one on my vehicle but if i found one some one would have a long chase trying to keep up with it.
  18. i didnt see it but i have a neighbor about 3/4s of a mile from me that had one try to take his dog in a fenced yard about 3 years ago. this gentleman is not one to spread untruths. he said the tail was as long as its body. neadless to say i watch my 6 after dark.
  19. i carry paper work in my vehicles now to show any officer that the law tells me where i can carry but in tn it does not tell me how i have to carry. that seems to be the problem with most officers because they have rules on how to carry and we as permit holders do not. the officers i have had contact with seem to get bent out of shape over 1911s cocked and locked.
  20. just one comment. i think the media in knoxville did their best to cover up the whole story when it happened. it took a paper or some type of media from out of state to get wind of it and rattled a lot of cages. not sure of this but some of u wiser puter people should be able to check it.
  21. been stopped twice in 15 years by state troopers and both times gave me a hard time about one in the pipe. both times they took weapon and unloaded it told me i couldnt carry that way. both times as they walked away i reloaded and reholstered my weapon. probably take a court case to stop the non-sense.
  22. had the same discussion with the manager in soddy-daisy this week. told her i would give her a chance to see if she could do anything if not i would move my account about 6 miles away. told her i had been carrying in her bank for about 15 years. her eyes got big and said they didnt know. if enough of us move our money no matter how small maybe they will wake up. one of the tellers told me they were protecting her with the sign. i told her that now it was an open invitation for the bad guys. went over her head completely

    Gorilla Glue?

guess i will put in my 2 cents. my neighbor is a carpenter. he uses a product similar to liquid nails from the local hardware. it says and the tube will even bond wet plywood and it does. wish i had the name of it but just read the directions on the tube it fits a regular caulking gun. it even glued the worn out grips on my 4 wheeler for over a year. i had already tried all of the mentioned glues.
  24. my son was at hamilton place yesterday. did not see sign for parking. when he left there was the sign at the stop street. only way one can see it is when one leaves. tells u after the fact.
  25. amt 22 mag. still have it but havent taken it out of the safe in years.
