  1. guys laugh all you want. but just a little over 10 years ago this old man thought a handgun was supposed to registered in this state. didnt worry about it until i got my permit. that is why people should ask questions to try to be informed. if i remember correctly not knowing the law excuses no one.
  2. i was told by a county officer to take my firearm back to the car. said it didnt have to be posted. i tried to explain but it didnt work.

  4. congratulations on the permits. just be glad the county sheriffs dont have a hand in it now. took my son and i 8 months to get ours when the sheriff could slow it down.

  9. my understanding of tn law is that if the restaurants do not want guns all they have to do is post a sign. why do they need a law that they keep fighting to hang on to.in my opinion there is money going somewhere.

  14. my neighbor about 1/2 mi. away swears he saw a cougar in his back yard just before christmas this last year. i thought all bobcats had a stubby tail. this cat had a tail almost as long as its body and was as big as a fairly large dog.

  16. been dis-armed and unloaded twice. i dont mind that. what i am very un happy about is the officers trying to tell me HOW to carry. they dont seem to be knowledgeable of cocked and locked or open carry in tn.
  17. aint well off. only owe for car. have every gun i ever owned but one. stevens 16 single barrel traded it and 30 bucks for pre 64 winchester 30-30. guess i am a pack rat on a lot of things. thanks again for the replies.

  21. i wear mine like i wear my cell phone, but Rabbi i did not think in tn. they could tell one how to wear his or her weapon. correct me if i am wrong.
  22. anyone here tried to turn an angry cat loose? i have handled a couple of average size dogs bare handed but that cat can and will hurt a person. one at a time on the dogs.
  23. i didnt understand where the video applied to my post either. i did do as the officer said. they just keep telling me how to carry they aint read the rules. the state trooper lives in rhea county too. told him i would prove him wrong. got paper work in my truck he wouldnt return my calls. just so everyone understands my wife says i have a communication problem hate to admit it but she may be right. hope this clears it up.
