i called about mine today and got the same 7-14 day answer. mine has been just over 60 days.

looks like 7-14 days is a canned answer. i called today and that is what i got. mine is just to renew so not worried about it cause i have the receipt stamped. it has been over 60 days. just be glad the sheriff aint got his hands in the pie. took my son and i 8 months to get our first one. hamilton county sat on ours. know this for a fact. it cost him a lot of votes later on.

addressing 2 of the previous comments. if i found a gun in my house growing up it was not because of irresponsible parents. the guns were always there and handy. if i "found" a gun where i thought it shouldnt be i and most of my friends knew we could retrieve it as long as we kept the booger hook of the bang switch. this from an age of about 7 which is about a far back as this old man can remember. my 12th birthday i received a brick of .22 and free access to my dads winchester pump. teach the kids damn it.

guess i will put in my 2 cents. been pulled over once in my life for something i didnt do. found out weeks later what happened. i did get out of it. only complaint i have with officers in my later years is i wish SOMEONE would inform all of them that open carry with a permit is legal in tenn. in the last 10 years i have had run-ins with 3. one state trooper made me put my weapon under the seat of my truck.

smart a** comment. if financial possible one should always have a small generator and the basic necessities on hand at all times. as a side note i thought i was prepared for the 93 storm in east tn and i wasnt. i did survive better than most in my area.
