Thank you. How long for people around him to react with first aid? How long did it take for the ambulance to get there? There's an old phrase: "It's not what happens, it's what you do about it." I hope there was a credible medical response at least. I hate to see things like this happen. He's injured, and embarrassed beyond belief, and people around him are scared $#!7less, and the gun show crowd looks like a bunch of witless idiots, and all the anti-gun droolers have ammunition for a year. Next thing you know, the Knoxville City Council is banning gun shows in the city limits or some such nonsense.

Let's go all class action on him for making gun owners as a class look bad, damaging our integrity, creating pain and suffering and embarrassment, etc, etc. I'd settle out of court for a chance to kick his butt once. In the military, negligent discharge is an automatic Article 15, a Letter of Reprimand from a General Officer, and mandatory comments in your fitness report, if memory serves.

A lot of smart and resourceful people on this board. How low in price can you go building an AR from pieces/parts? I don't know if this has been dissected on the forum. The solution may be a moving target. I'd sure like to know a total dollar outlay for a minimal functioning .223 AR, and would be very interested in a parts list or hints if they are not state secrets. What minimal tools are required? Is there one book versus another that spells it all out? Of course, pictures of your AR would be way cool, as well as a certain amount of justified bragging. Thanks in advance!

If you are attacked in an alley by five men, concentrate on one of them, kill one of them. The rest will scatter. It's almost the only way. In a situation such as this, their ages don't even enter into the equation. Attacked? Defend.

The teen thuggery is happening all too often. The armed defense doesn't happen often enough. It's time to lower the age of majority for violent crimes. Thirteen might not be too low. Try them as adults for violent crimes.
