  1. Put a bill before the California Legislature banning all armed guards and bodyguards, and forbidding the police or sheriff to act as a bodyguard for a person. Apply it to the Governor on down. See how far it gets.
  2. If it's ten o'clock at night and I see a black-hoodie-wearing thug wandering my neighborhood, I'm calling the police, and I'm keeping my hand on the butt of my holstered pistol until the cops arrive. If asked about the race of the perp, I'm gonna say ". . . don't know for sure. . . ." 'Cause I don't care about the race of the perp, I care about the suspicious behavior.
  3.   Somebody here is liable to hold you to that. And take pictures to prove it. And post them.
  4. Awesome on so many levels.
  5.   :stunned: :stunned: :stunned: :stunned: :stunned: :stunned:
  6. Twelve O'Clock High . . .
  7.   Get old enough and use a large enough caliber, and you could find yourself crapping your pants every time you fire! Don't ask me how I know. . . .
  8. Spread this far and wide --     Spread this far and wide!   Previously posted at:   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/68533-there-is-a-gun-control-playbook-versus-washington-gun-owners/
  9. With approximately 80,000,000 gun owners in the U.S. with approximately 270,000,000 guns (3.3 or so guns each, on the average), with say, 1000 to 5000 rounds per each weapon, would be 270 TRILLION to 1.35 QUADRILLION rounds. Check my math, I think I've got the zeroes in the right place.   A thousand rounds per weapon isn't really all that much, maybe an ammo can of loose .223, weighing less than 30 pounds. A thousand rounds of .22 is less than eight pounds.   Five thousand rounds a weapon is considerable, but there are folks who have a lot more than that, and 5,000 rounds of .22 is less than 40 pounds. Five thousand rounds of .223 would be less than 150 pounds.   However, times 270 million guns is a lot of production, and certainly enough to dry up manufacturing output in a year.   However, what does that say about an armed citizenry? There is NO WAY the government could stockpile that much ammunition, or win a conflict against that many weapons, even if only ten percent were employed.
  10. If the owner of a bar can ban guns, he can ban thug clothing. If thugs don't like it, too bad.
  11. Some rifles go . . . bang!   The M1A Socom 16 goes . . . B A N G ! !   (. . . echo. . . echo . . . echo . . . )
  12. I've got a Springfield Armory parkerized "Loaded" that meets the Cooper Criteria and it is a pleasure to shoot.
  13. Get cell phone pictures of them. . . . and post them. . . .
  14. I have no way to judge the truth or falsehood of this piece. However, I am interested in spreading it far and wide so that the administration is forced to deny it. I find it plausible.
  15. I'm thinking you might want to get in contact with the Sheriff's department in your county and see what you can do to be helpful. The Sheriff by law is the highest ranking law enforcement officer in the county. When push comes to shove, the County Sheriff is going to need to know who he can count on. . . .
  16. From the article:   Douse's family was furious. “They're making it all up,” said his aunt, Quwana Barcene. “There was no gun. It’s all a cover-up. It’s what the police do. They kill us and cover it up. It’s not fair. It was my sister’s only child. You shouldn’t have to bury your child. My beautiful nephew got shot in the head. A mother of one now has to bury her only child.”     Typical "He was a good boy - he don' do nuthin' wrong" speech. Except this self-same kid was ". . .  was arrested in May on attempted murder charges for shooting a 15-year-old . . ."

    advice needed

My daily is a Springfield EMP 9 and it'll fit in the larger cargo pocket of most of my shorts. I will sometimes use my wife's Sig P238 which just about disappears in a pocket. I imagine the same would be true for its brother Sig P938 (which I might get someday). As others have said, the Sig P238/P938 is a 1911 based platform so no need to change habits.
  18. A scrambled egg and bacon. Then, strawberries, cherries and blueberries with yogurt and a V8. Conversation with spouse (the best part).
  19. Well,   That's that. Now he gets the pleasure of working through the system. It's quite possible that he will get chewed up and spit out. This is going to cost him time and money. I wonder if he's foolish enough to serve as his own lawyer. I foresee some opportunities for him to collect contempt of court charges. I imagine most judges will not be terribly entertained by his antics.
  20.   You might want to download the .pdf before it's deleted online. One of the links I provided is already dead.
  21.   Thank you very much to all. Amazing!
  22. Sorry to ask, but what exactly is the "127" garage sale??
  23. There is a 'gun control playbook' versus Washington gun owners http://www.examiner.com/article/there-is-a-gun-control-playbook-versus-washington-gun-owners   This is what's happening in at least Washington State with lessons for the gun control agenda across the country.   If you're a football coach, getting hold of your adversary's "Playbook" is always a good move. It tells you when they'll dodge left, dodge right, go straight ahead, pass or punt. You can then adjust your strategy accordingly.   The news report references the play book, and here's a link to it. VERY VERY INTERESTING reading. Get into the mind of your adversaries:   http://concealedcampus.org/wp-content/blogs.dir/1/files/2013/08/guncontrolhandbook.pdf   or   http://www.tbe.org/uploadedFiles/site/Rabbis_Corner/Rabbi_Study_Materials/Gun%20ViolenceMessaging%20Guide%20PDF-1.pdf     It's 80 pages of popcorn munching delight.
  24.   Here's the Chattanooga Times Free Press leadership page, with phone numbers. Which one's the "relatively new editor-in-chief" that is a flaming liberal?   http://timesfreepress.com/contactus/
  25. The newspaper writes: ". . . The newspaper’s decision to terminate Johnson had nothing to do with the content of the editorial, which criticized the president’s job creation ideas . . . . "   Of course not. It never is. Never crossed our minds. Nope.   http://timesfreepress.com/news/2013/aug/01/free-press-editorial-page-editor-no-longer-times-f/
