So sorry to hear that. We lost 2 of our life long friends this year. Please remember that he cant tell you what he needs and that you have to be thoughtfull enough of his needs as possible. I know it is very hard to make that choice if need be. But +1 on the VET. Give him love and let him know he is loved and I am sure that if he can he will hang in as long as he can.

I had only mentioned the FN Five Seven becuase of what Chris had stated. I was just shootin from the hip on that idea. I do not believe the Five Seven would have the knock down power as the round would most certainly go in and out but if you could pump 20 thru it might slow him down??? No not yet. I am waiting on them to finish there merger with SAG. I am on that very thin line if I work 1 more AFTRA production then I have to join and pay the $1400.00. Where as if I can wait it out and SAG and AFTRA finish the merger then I wont have to come out of pocket as already being a SAG member. But thank you very much for the heads up.

I am having a hard time finding contacts and others in the industry for film and Television to network with and find work. I am a SAG member and basically walked away from it to relocate the family to Nashville for the wifes new position in her company. I would really love to get back to what I do best! I would also like to say Thanks To TGO and its members for the help that we have found thru out its members since our relocation here! Best group of Guys/Gals I have ever seen on a forum!

If you do get a fire make sure to get the ZAGG invisible shield for it. It helps with smudges a bit and will protect it. IMO most other post have been spot on. If she wants it to read books then get an e-reader, if she wants to play Angry Birds, check emails ect and has wifi then the fire is a decent choice in its price range.

We lived in Reno NV very close to Tahoe where the bears are thick. While I am all for having a large cal firearm (alaskan by choice) on your person I am suprised that no one has mentioned Bear mace/pepper spray. The guides and local hunters would have what ever large cal of there choice AND bear spray. The spray covers a large area and may give you just enough chance of stopping a charging bear to then resort to your side arm.

IMO, I feel that something like letting children be children is something that now days they are being robbed of. My son is 3 and I got all teary eyed at the Parade last week just to see the excitement and glow on his face and hear him screaming Santa Santa! Now I realize that the comercial industry has ruined what it was all about but I know that some day my son won't be screaming Santa and he will now that it was all just make believe fairy tales. But, if I start taking away all the things like Santa, Easter Bunny,ect things that might one day give him the imagination to dream and create as a child all because I didnt want him to then who knows what he might have dreamed or inspired to do as a man. Just got home from getting off work. Went in at 8p last night.
