1. The DL was pretty far along into the video, but the window thing I am not sure about. I ask because I was thinking of during winter (which this was not, granted). I don't know, seems to be poorly executed in any event. Honestly, it concerns me because I live not far from there... I do everything I can to be within the law but lets face it a LEO can get PC to arrest anyone within a mile of their home if they decide they want to.

  2. This speaks directly to my point in the thread discussing whether one can use deadly force to prevent a simple assault. Just cuz you want the law to allow you to use your weapon in a certain way doesn't make it legal, so don't be surprised if you end up in court for using your firearm outside the scope of the law.

For that matter you better prepare yourself to go to court even within the scope of the law if a firearm is present while you are caught jaywalking in today's atmosphere.

  3. I am against this for one reason only: I am former military and still cannot carry. It does not matter. I am a citizen and should be able to carry my weapon on a college campus. Period. We must start fighting minutae and start getting rights restored. Creating a speciality class of current and former law enforcement reinforces the belief that LEOs are "special" and not civilians. They need to live like the rest of society. Period.

  4. It was brass.

The Talking Dead is polling should Carl have shot him. I saw a glimmer of I am going to fake it then shoot you all, so I am not sure that Carl did not do the right thing. Given the complete aggression an lawlessness I am not so sure it was not right.

  5. I agree it was heartening and not as we talked a series of fist on the table we must get all guns off the street commentary. Especially for the two at the beginning. I have been thinking about the other presenter and I am not sure. I almost asked her as I saw her the yesterday just to find out.

Overall I am glad for the debate as opposed to demands. That I did find to be a good turn of events.

I think I am going to request the presentation from the beginning to look at that again.
  6. I was a little surprised as well, but I guess I am not quite as optimistic. I was interested in the first presentations that detailed some demographic information on school shooters. Most of it confirmed things that we had actually bee discussing early on in the day, however the information about attitudes especially after the shootings were pretty interesting, especially since we often do not get to ask about that (ie) the shooter is killed during the event.

Of course I am rather pessimistic anymore in general when it comes to people being rational when it comes to their liberty.

  7. I do wonder what in hadies they are going to do with MRAPs though. I mean they are useless for off road work, and some bridges in the US will not support their weight. Nevermind the moron at the DOD that ordered the wrong ones.

As for Beck, I do not know anyone that I thoroughly trust but some stuff of his is not that far off, it at least makes me think. I have listened some to Jerry Doyle lately - he beats on everyone.

As for socialisim... It is in controvention to the US Constitution and that is a no go for me. Period. No discussion.

  8. No, no... hollowpoints IMPLODE. That's why Feinstein wants to ban them. They are like a little ballistic supernova that creates a mini black hole that sucks the victim into themselves turning them inside out.

Which is halarious since she got into Senator Cruize (Spelling may be wrong) about him lecturing her. She said she has been at this for 30 some years and knows the terminology quite well.

Just another indicator of how bad the anti gun group is.

  9. On top of this, it overburdens an overwhelmed system to the point to be useless and tag folks with another reason for them to recidivate since they are no longer back in the mainstream of society. It also puts silly things out there like peeing on a wall making an 18 year old a registered offender.

Nope, it’s a bad idea. Not only that but anyone who thinks that this will not be used to take weapons away from them needs to take a look historically at both what has happened elsewhere and what folks who have said who sit in legislatures around the nation. We need fewer restrictions on firearms so people can defend themselves if they choose to and are attacked.

  10. You forgot so that they know where to go to take weapons when they take them all.

Why all the support for a gun offender registry??? What exactly is such a registry supposed to accomplish except create another meaningless government program that needs to be funded. Add on that the sex offender registries have caused more harm than good. Yet another thing that boggles my mind.

  11. More than likely they belong to a troop from the 1/150th Armored Reconnaissance Squadron. We don't have many in state, most being at the mobilization station, but each troop's armory had some to train on.

It is the WV ANG out for some much needed training. Done it a number of times.
