  1. That's because you have zero experience with the Army, and I would guess the military as a whole.   The article is badly written and is heavily slanted to cheerlead PPE.....useless f'ing PPE.  Thats why MOB places make SM's wear retarded gear like elbow pads, ginormous knee pads, DAPs, ETC.  1st Army can EATADIK.  Useless slick sleeves.   You cannot use your own personal AR.  Never, no exceptions.  There are ways to drop your own upper, but that requires a good CO who is willing to stick his neck out.  Those days are gone.   The BUIS is an issued MATECH.  With a few exceptions, the military does not use carry handle sights on it's A4/M4's.   This Safety of Use message is worthless and pushes a PPE agenda.  I'm sure SGM's everywhere are loving it.  If only they could wrap a PT belt around the weapon...
  2. I still have 5.56 in my leg. You never know when and where #### is going to bounce back at you. Eye pro is a minimum unless you want to look like a pirate. eta: Could be your eyeball......or what lies behind it ;)
  3. No.  It might cause slide wear eventually but not right away.  You can also loosen it up with a heat gun.  I had to do that with my Kaluban Cloak for my G34/x300 b/c it was doing the exact same as yours.
  4.   I would say yes.  At the very least, you need to pay attention to how your pistol cycles.  Talked to him the other day before I left and it was 2 squibs, not one. I've encouraged him to contact the shop he bought it from and for them to get with that company but I don't know if he's done that or not.
  5. Normal.  It may even scuff your gun up but will wipe right off.
  6. I couldn't make the adjustment to the pistol grip but the CH's are tits.  Every one of my rifles has one and will have one.  It is the CH all others are compared to.
  7. I bought my most recent Glocks for $400.  I would save another month or so and buy a quality handgun rather than settling.
  8. Lots of learning here. Appreciate the answers.
  9. I'm going to disagree.  In 2007, I took an AK round to the rear ESAPI, lower right quadrant and it knocked me to me knees.  It did not penetrate the ESAPI but deformed the rear and messed up the soft armor.  I had a very ugly fist sized bruise for weeks and for a few days, it hurt to breathe deep.   Is there some kind of science that I'm missing behind your statement?  Because that shit definitely hurt me more than firing a weapon.
  10.     I've done the same at 3 gun matches @ MSSA.  Generally at the end of the day, I'll help tear down and pick up some brass.  Its one of those things that no one minds but you be polite and just ask out loud....no issues.    I think most everyone's gripes here are about people picking their brass up on the static line ranges.  If someone is picking my brass up while I'm messing with my target, at a minimum they're going to catch a polite confrontation.
  11.     I like your style
  12.   They need to be punched in the nose.  I can't stand those guys.
  13. 2/3 for me.  No MANPADs for this little guy.  I might reclass into a drone operator....punch a hellfire into a CTD store or something fun.
  14. Haha, no worries man.  But for SA - they're unguided munitions.  You might be able to tag a large, slow moving helo if you're lucky but not a UAV.
  15.     Lol, some of you guys have been playing a little too much COD.  RPGs and AT4's at UAVs? Hahahaha, good luck with that one.  Hope your back blast area is clear
  16. Nor was I.  The fact that he's not hanging or shot is a travesty and a mockery to America.  Sounds about right for our perverted court system.
  17. Posers
  18.     Haha, the amount of people that fall for it is amazing.  The bad part is that none of us would be surprised by any of their articles.
  19. Glock 17 or 19.  He might not like the snap of a .40 as his first gun.
  20. Thanks TMF.  That's exactly my point.  Dragonman obviously doesn't understand that considering he's never served and is trying for the "cool by association" angle.  He buys into the whole "6 tours" bit because he just doesn't know what he doesn't know.  And for the record, a vast majority of the 160th are fucking cool guys.  But when a guy's "6 tours" add up to just over my first tour, STFU.  Stop embarrassing your friend.    Error filled postings huh?  Funny, coming from the guy who was repeatedly shown that he was incorrect by multiple people.  My postings come from experience and black and white numbers.  Yours come from wrong words, "I said returning but I didn't mean returning :stunned: ", mis-reads of articles, and stories from your friends.  But its cool man.  I'm a keyboard commando John Wayne.  You keep riding on the coat tails of experience by your friends and have yourself a good one.
  21. Libs want to talk about zero tolerance?  Zero tolerance for hurting a child.  People like that deserve to die, not milk the taxpayers tit for 20 to life
  22. Like I mentioned earlier, gas stations do this all the time.  I don't get what the problem is.  Are you mad that they're not accommodating your need to use a CC?  Then keep on doing what you're doing, not bidding.   You can look at it as getting a cash discount.  Or if you want to use a form of payment that costs them money, then be prepared to cover that cost.  Its not like they're jacking you for 10% or hiding the fees.
  23.     ........really?  That's exactly what they're doing.  For example, it's $100 paid by MO, PayPal, etc.  It's $103 if paid by CC......there's your cash discount.    If you don't want to pay by other funds and insist on a CC, that's your problem.  They're up front about it and not hitting you with any hidden fees.  What's the problem?
  24. You're misunderstanding.  They pilot these things for strikes from thousands of miles away.  For the planes locally, how do you think they get their training?
