All this chit chat back and forth and no one bothered to post the report? Just the info wars BS.......unsurprising. My first response was to wonder what the hell the officer was thinking. Then I thought that there had to be more to the initial, inflammatory story. Sure enough... http://www.oregon.gov/osp/NEWSRL/Pages/news/06_21_2013_i5_taser_use_statement.aspx. Foggy areas in Oregon, especially on 5, are no joke. And some people still drive stupid through them.

Need help with weapon light for home defense
scoutfsu replied to a topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Don't over think this..... you can't go too bright. You can go not bright enough. Anecdotal evidence and experience has shown that bright lights equal situational/target awareness. I won't use anything under a SureFire x300 or Scout C.....If I had the money, I'd have more U's. -
I'll keep reading later but this guy says he's in on close to 3000 autopsies a year? ETA: I would love to see some pictures to back up what I'm reading here.

Perhaps a case to test carrying in a properly posted business?

I'd much rather focus on catching the robbers and charging them... This guy just needs some very...motivated...instruction and counseling. -

Warning shots should equal a punch in the face. He should have drilled them where they stood. Talk about a bunch of fail on the Mall Owners....[quote]Since the 2010 shooting death of a security guard, the mall has worked hard to repair its image a “family friendly†shopping destination. Not even the security guards carry guns.[\quote] Awesome. You hear that criminals and thugs?!?! We're defenseless!! Southland Mall should focus its efforts on actually improving security if it wants to make it's patrons actually safer. No, they'd rather subscribe to the liberal ideal of burying their heads in the sand by banning OMG! GUNZ!!, rather than criminals. -
Prescription pills? 1/5 of Jack? Do you hate your cousin?

Put the bong down and back away from the keyboard.

There was a guy on here a while back that was boasting of buying stuff with his employee discount and then selling it for a large profit. He was surprised when it came back and bit him in the real world and he was fired. Wanted to blame everyone else without taking responsibility for his own words/actions. I forget the screen name though...

Wait, wait, wait......I thought it was DHS that was buying all of our ammo?!?

Those little bastards hurt too.....I'll second pouring the gas. I still remember them stinging me, 10 years later. Hurt worse than getting shot.

Wow. Just wow. That opinion piece was terrible written and full of incorrect, inflammatory language designed to anger the average, ill-informed reader. I felt like I was reading something written by Feinstein or Bloomberg. How many times do the same "facts" need to be refuted or explained before they stick?

Its not a bad belt but I personally felt it was thicker than needed. I find the VTAC Brokos to be a better platform. I've also gone more mininmalist with Tyr Tacitcal's gunfighter belt. I've heard good things about Velocity Systems' belt too.

You and me both. I take a sharpie and blacken the red dot. It helps prevent some of the comments. OhShoot - When I think of an external safety, I think of the AR or 1911. When engaged, you can't pull the trigger. I can't tell you how many times I've seen people attempt to shoot their M9 and fail to do so because of that terrible decocker/safety. That or they rack the slide and accidentally engage the lever down and get the same result. Software issue to be sure.....but its also a hardware issue.
-
Interesting. I was always told it was just a decocker. Made sense since traditional safeties prevent the trigger from being pulled when engaged.
-
The 92 does not have a safety. It has a decocker and should be left in the horizontal (OFF :woohoo: ) position. Sorry, pet peeve from the Army.

No kidding? All my mags are (older) 15 rounders...I always wondered why they couldn't fit 17rds in a full size gun. A 19 is the biggest gun I would consider for CC.
-
You'd be silly to try and concealed carry a 92. You get the same amount of rounds in a 19 w/ a lighter package, better trigger, and better sights.
-
They're 110's and you'll generally see them with the BN Scouts / Sniper sections. The 14 will be far more prevalent for for line platoons, almost always w/ the SAGE stock. I rocked a wood stock 14 w/ a Mk4 Leupy on top and a KAC rail for close to a year. The M14 can eat a big fat dick as far as I'm concerned.

Obama Piles On the Zimmerman Case

Well we already knew about the President's history of drug use. Is he half assed admitting to being a thief and assaulting people? -
Either have a 5320.20 for a year at a time or have a spare 16" upper. Once you drop that spare upper on, it is no longer under NFA purview.
-
If you're trying to size them, I've found that they fit true to size. I wear 11.5 in them.....11.5 in New Balance Minimus, all my Merrel boots and shoes, 11.5 in Brooks, Nike boots, Oakley boots. Honestly, I kinda doubt you'll find them laying around a store. I got mine online.
-
I'm wearing Sawtooths here in AFG. Great boots but I had them start to come apart and I've only been using them 4 months or so. I also have the MOAB mids. I prefer them over the Sawtooths. They're lighter and more breathable even though they're waterproof. My Sawtooths have had an eyelet (or whatever the attaching point near the top is called) pop loose and on my right boot, the sole started to separate on the front/both sides. I hear Merrell has some excellent CS though.

This will not affect AD guys. It'll hit NG/Res people. I'm not sure about AGR though. A couple years back when they weren't going to pay the military, people were still expected to show up to work.
