1. I really like my HA Guardian and I have a Sparrow on the way....one day. Used the HA on my 22/45 and 15-22 while on R&R. Fun, fun, fun...
2. So the point of this thread is to rail against something DHS may or may not have done?  Simply you don't trust them and you bet they went in like the raid at Waco?  Seriously?   It's empire building when an agency goes after the people they're supposed to be going after?   I hope they keep on keeping on with the raids against counterfeiters and counterfeit importers.  I doubt you'd be happy if you had counterfeit parts or tires on that nice truck in your avatar.  How about that ripped off MS2 sling?  Those are people stealing from an American company...and stealing from you when you bought the fake sling.
3. A lot of people and organizations fall under DHS.  And you know what, GOOD ON THEM for raiding that shit.  Counterfeit products should be gathered up and burned.  People's intellectual property is being stolen and money is being taken from them.   Not to mention all that fake garbage being sold on the secondary markets, ripping off more people.
4. Chuck,   For myself ( and this was 3+ years ago and longer back to '03) it was extremely high transfer fees, grumpy/rude sales guys, low inventory, and high priced guns.  The last time I was there was to meet you.  When I was in there browsing, I'll give you this...the guys there acknowledged me and even made a comment about the hat I was wearing.  So maybe things have changed on gone on an upswing.   Part of the problem is that people can have  a long memory and once burned/angered, twice shy.  I generally don't even consider CA due to those past experiences.    If you say the place and attitude has changed for the better, that's definitely a good thing and worth a visit.  One person and one person only kept me going back to G&A despite some of his colleagues' best efforts.
5. Check with Matt Fooshee at MedicFirearms.  I know he had some DD Mk18's.  Otherwise your best bet is going to G&A on Summer......maybe Arms Fair in Cordova.
6. My point is that POTUS is doing enough real damage to this country that you don't need to make stuff up or sharpshoot him for things he has nothing to do with.  I know a couple AGR guys that need to be sent packing too (if that's what this was, not some escalated personal conflict).
7. No, I get it.  You were trying to take a shot at the President b/c of your extreme dislike for him/ his policies.  But it sounds frickin' ridiculous to try and blame him for some nonsense at a NG Armory.   I hear it's cold in W. TN this morning.  Damn Obummer and his Environmental doctrine!   If you're going to criticize the guy, at least be somewhat rational about it.
8.   Somehow, I seriously doubt POTUS had anything to do with the removal of a NG soldier :shake: .  I'd place my money on some AGR guy finally getting his relief for cause NCOER.
9. The NG Armory sits just outside of MSA Millington proper.  Its still on federal/NSA Mill. land but it's outside the gate.
10. Ha, well that does seem reasonable.   Dolomite, I've seen commentary that mirrors what you just said.  Sad that brain power does not equal smarts...
11. I'd be wary of how they define mentally ill.    Aspergers? ADD/ADHD? PTSD? Prepper? Constitutionalist? etc?
12.     Don't do anything else to it.  Contact Mesa like Dolomite said and they will take care of you
13.   All bolts will fail eventually.  I'd be tempted to chalk those two failures up to you guy's firing schedules....also depending on your choice of uppers.  And a weapon kabooming is an ammo issue almost all of the time (unless you're getting bullet set back from a dicked up chamber).
14. Negative!   Red Storm Rising or Without Remorse.  John Clark is the prototypical boogey man bad ass and that was a very good book.   I also read his books as a kid.  My dad had a bunch of them.  I'm actually re-reading one now, The Bear and The Dragon.  IMO, his work started slipping with his later stuff.
15. I don't think he broke the receiver extension TMF.  I think it was the actual stock.  That happens if you don't collapse it fully or hit it at the wrong angle.
16. Ok.  Where do you go that adds a mandatory tip to your bill?  The only time I've ever seen that done is for parties of 8+ and it is plainly stated on the menu.
17. I think a lot of you are underestimating the number of hours a server works too.  By the time you include getting to the job on time, going through line up, reviewing the menu/specials, setting up, working, closing down, doing side work, etc....you're looking at an easy 8 hours.   I haven't worked in a restaurant since 2005 but I can't imagine that its changed that drastically.  I worked in one of the better places in Memphis and that job was no joke with regards to the stress of dealing with people and the managers.  Waiting tables is not easy.  Again, you can recognize someone who has worked in a restaurant before.  They recognize the difference between BS excuses and good work.   And they tip accordingly.
18.     Mandatory tip?  Where did I say that?  Your last few sentences are at odds with your first few.   A tip should be based on quality of services rendered.  The problem starts when customers don't want to tip, go out of their way to find reasons not to tip, or are there to commit outright fraud.    Shitty service doesn't deserve a tip.  Good service does.    You don't tip your lawn boy, mail carrier, roofer, or walmart worker because it is an entirely different sort of job.  Same reason people tip tattoo artists, valets, etc.  You're comparing apples to oranges.
19.     You know they don't get a pass on their taxes right?  Well, probably not because I don't think you've ever worked in a restaurant....   The IRS takes an automatic percentage based on sales.  The restaurant also facilitates in this when you cash out at the end of the night.  If you have most of your tips on a CC/Debit card (which is what almost everyone uses nowadays), then that is noted and reported.  If you have high sales but not a lot of CC receipts, they know you got cash.  You have to claim a certain amount of that cash.  If you don't claim the correct amount, it WILL come back and bite you in the ass come tax time.   You gotta work really hard to evade taxes...the average server ain't doing that.
20. Some of you people shouldn't be allowed to eat outside of your homes or fast food.  It is amazing the mental leaps and justifications people make in order not to leave a tip or a miserly tip.   You can always recognize someone who has worked in the industry.  They differentiate BS excuses & poor service from legitimate issues or mistakes.  They also tip accordingly.    Everyone thinks they can work in a restaurant.  Until they actually do it and see how stressful it is.  Besides dealing with the people who want a well done steak (but not burnt!), make lemonade out of sugar, water, and lemonade (to avoid paying that $2.50), people eating their entire plate of food except for 1 or 2 bites (and then trying to complain and get their money refunded), etc, etc.  Jesus, the staggering amount of scumbags, thieves, and cheapsters you deal with on an everyday basis is infuriating.  I've seen a woman picking a hair out of her head and putting it in the remains of her food to try and get over.  Yay COGIC  , Jesus saves.    If an extra couple dollars, in order to leave a good tip, is going to break your wallet then you shouldn't be eating out.
21.     Clear, concise, articulate statements are what we need.   Great post regarding trusts LESTN
22. Mine was a trust too.  That's really odd that yours took so much longer than, well, pretty much everyone else.  I hope that doesn't turn out to be the same story for my 2 F4's...
23. Did you have it kicked back for correction or anything??  I submitted a F4 in Jan and got mine back in early August.
24. So I've been looking into it and it does look like the electronic form route is cutting down the times some.  I still don't think it will take days for a Form 4 to clear......but I'll put my money where my mouth is.  I should have an electronic F4 on my trust submitted within the next week or so.
25. Excellent link SH.
