  1. No dude, you just misunderstood his post. The Pig is acting like one big baffle, not has a baffle in it. I haven't used one myself, but from what I've seen, it pushes the blast forward along with other internal benefits.
  2. Primer, what on earth are you talking about? GJ, there is no baffle in the Pig.
  3. agreed. I'm a fan of SureFire but AAC will work too.....or any of the other reputable can companies. I know the YHM is cheaper initially but try and think long term. Most people that have been doing this have learned the hard way. I started out cheap but ended up spending more money in the long run replacing the cheap stuff with the better (more expensive, ususally) stuff. Weapons, like most other things in life, you get what you pay for. Really, since it's just a FH.....stick with the A2 until you decide for sure on what kind of can you want. Once you have one NFA item......
  4. Once it's NFA'ed, you can put whatever you want on it. NFA is a little daunting at first but keep reading up on it and it'll become easier.
  5. Stick with a collapsible stock. Why the YHM FH?
  6. That's Wes Grant's work. He does some amazing work and uses nothing but the best. Also, that's a DD rail
  7. They're good to go. Expensive though.
  8. Sure, just get back to me anytime. It sucks paying that much up front but IMO, with ammunition, it's always better to save up and buy in bulk. You'll save more in the long run. I think WWB 9mm @ Walmart runs around $23 a box. Multiply that by 10 and then add taxes. By ordering 1k lots (or even splitting that with a friend) you're saving yourself at least $60. Even if it takes you a year to shoot it, in my book, $60 saved is $60 saved. I would assume the same for .40 and every other caliber. @wcsc12 - Are you saying that there are 100rd boxes of 9mm for $20? I haven't seen that @ my walmart. I remember before my 1st deployment when a 100rd box of WWB was $11. When we got back, the price had jumped to $18ish:down:
  9. Another option is to buy bulk ammo with people and split the shipping. For example: I was just looking at buying some 9mm BVAC from Surplus Ammo & Arms. Since I'm no longer down the road from them, I have to ship:( If other people jump in the order, the price of shipping will go down. Enough people ordering enough ammo and you're looking at $5-15 for shipping. That would put the 1k of 9mm I'm looking at around $170, no tax. The hard part is finding people close enough to you and trusting them (or them trusting you) with the money. That's where feedback, reputation, etc come into play. Just something to think about.....(I live in W. TN )
  10. Lol of all the thing I never thought I would write on the internet.....
  11. I am confident this dog can continue through life without randomly pinning men down and ****ing them.
  12. Fair enough. I'm obviously not big on religion....so I apologize for belittling it. I don't like seeing people push religion as one of their causes for executing people/animals. Getting away from that topic so the thread isn't closed..... I'm probably wearing my feelings on my sleeve b/c I own a couple GSDs. I don't understand putting a good dog (one that hasn't torn someone to shreds - even then, there are exceptions) down just because some sick bastard molested him. I don't see how living on a farm would change that perspective.......we don't put down people that get molested do we?
  13. good deal, quote it whenever you feel like it. But don't get upset when someone disagrees with it or its use.
  14. I'm not turning anything into a religious debate. If you don't want it commented on, then don't go around quoting silly verses while talking about killing a good dog because of the actions of some scumbag. As I said, I won't be spending time on farms anytime soon.....so why do I need to spend time on a farm to get why a dog should be killed? Is there a good reason I'm missing? This dog didn't attack anyone......he was molested by some scumbag (provided the linked article is true).
  15. well that's not going to happen anytime soon. Maybe you can explain what you're trying to say?
  16. How is he ruined? Is he going to go around raping men? Should we put down children that are molested?
  17. Why kill the animal? Go thump your bible somewhere else If true, something needs to happen to that sicko. This being Memphis though, who knows....
  18. Good, don't debate......because you're wrong. You're not talking to the actual examiners, taking away their time. You are correct on the 5 months though. Some are getting them sooner, almost all are getting them around that 5 month mark. NFA tracker is hopelessly out of date right now too. The numbers have been slowly climbing but are hardly representative of actual times. ETA: I agree on not calling until around the 5 month mark though. Maybe the 4 month mark to see when you went pending......but after that, I don't see the point unless you're running a weird late time.
  19. He could get rid of the original manufacturer if he wanted. Provided it's on a F1, either he or his trust is the manufacturer. He obviously still needs the SN.......but I don't see why he can't get rid of the deer. I would try asking an NFA lawyer thats on TGO - (Pat Stegall) for a definite answer. I'm not 100% on that answer, so don't take it to the bank. It's also generally why people SBR "better" lowers. You could sell the lower to anyone, they'll (or you) just have to have it taken off the registry and they'll need to put a 16"+ upper on it
  20. In addition to pumping out some uppers with incorrect gas tubes (carbine in place of midlength).....which shows they weren't QC'ed or test fired. IIRC, someone's going to lose their job for it.
  21. The problem comes in when the dealers are selling their guns significantly higher than the going price. $650 plus on a Glock? No thanks, they're $400 w/ the LEO/mil discount or still under $500 for the non discount. That's not including the tax and fees. That's just one example that's repeated over the entire spectrum of weapons/accessories. You see it all the time - $1200 Bushmasters, $700 Aimpoints, $26 Pmags.... I don't mind paying a reasonable amount. A reasonable amount is not a $200+ markup. To take the OP's example, Plum Crazy and Delton do not equal BCM. That's insulting and guarantees the guy will never step foot into their shop again. Kinda like this - "Oh you want to do a transfer on a Springfield TRP? No, not going to do it.....but we have these awesome RIA or ATI .45's for you to buy instead.....well, I guess I can order it. That'll be $2114 plus tax." I might initially go into the store for the FFL transfer. What will keep me coming back, recommending the store to friends, and writing about it online are things like customer service, reasonably competitive prices, knowledge, good selection, etc. Gun stores can be their own worst enemy.
  22. Yikes.....nevermind then
  23. Where is this now?
  24. Who needs a charging handle and BCG??......not this guy;)
  25. Keeping the thread alive
