  1. You know, I think you're right. That stupid box goes right there. I didn't think about MILES....worthless as it is.
  2. They go hand in hand IMO. When I buy a pistol, I want more than 2-3 mags. Maybe a holster, maybe a light, maybe cleaning products, etc. It's hard to sell guns if no one will go into your store because you're so overpriced on everything and/or have rude sales people.
  3. Well to tie into that Mike, how long do you think they'd stay in business if they sell nothing because of their high prices? Just how valuable is that shelf space when you're closing up shop? What they're really making is repeat customers. Guys who come in there to buy one thing and may walk out with 3 things.....guys who will recommend that shop to their friends, neighbors, and coworkers as a good place to go for a fair deal. I come in for a couple PMags and I see a reasonably priced Glock, I just might be taking home that Glock. And vice versa. I walk in and see a $600+ Glock and $26 mags, chances are I won't be back there and I will tell everyone I know why.
  4. Its not that they piss me off.....it just makes me shake my head. I'm all for supporting local shops but there has to be some sort of compromise. If I can get them for $14.20 all day long on the internet, then why should I pay $26? They would sell far more, make more money, and keep local people coming back if they had them for say $16-17ish. A quick nickel is better than a slow dime.....especially when you need to keep the lights on.
  5. For the Bayonet IIRC
  6. What about the Gun Shop Owner? The one who wants $625 for a Glock 17 or $1750 for a Colt 6920? The guy that will have a PMag marked for $26 and a TAPCO stock for $80? The same guy that will cry about losing money to the internet and how everything should be taxed because he isn't willing to come down to a reasonable price?
  7. The 320 does not require the step/use a barrel clamp for mounting. Ideally, it can be used with it's standalone mount for a more flexible, effective grenadier.
  8. Too easy. M&P 9 and buy .223 in bulk. Minimum 1k round orders. Try and do group buys to cut down on shipping. Buying in bulk stings up front but you save far more in the long run. Same with reloading... ETA: Yes, you're going to lose money when you sell the 75, especially since it's a carry gun. That's just a fact of life in the gun world. You shouldn't lose any sleep over it.
  9. I wasn't being an ass. I was disagreeing with you strongly and without colorful language. My point is if someone is an "adult" at 18, then they should be given "adult" privileges like drinking a beer. If a guy can go fight, die, or be maimed for his country.....then he should be able to legally have a drink. You can't plan for the 10% that are going to screw up anything and everything. Are they suddenly going to stop screwing up when they hit 21? What's the difference b/w a guy who was 20 monday and 21 on tuesday? If my Army time has taught me anything, its this: if you treat them like children, they're going to act like children.
  10. My opinion is based on the fact that the first part is done under strict training and supervision. The latter is done with neither. Lumber Jack, no offense....but I don't think you have any idea what you're talking about. Please, tell me more about this strict training and supervision in combat. I can fire a guy up with a crew serve or drop him in any other way you can think of......I'm trusted with that......just not with a beer. At least until I cross the magical 21 line. Then I'm good in all categories.
  11. I've never understood how you can legally be considered an adult at 18 but not enjoy adult privileges. Sure, kids do stupid things. So do adults. What is the difference? It is a kick in the face that Joe can fight and die for his country but he can't drink a beer in return. Its a crying shame that young adults are given a criminal record/UCMJ over a beer or bottle. People do stupid things. Within reason, holding them accountable is how you deal with it. If you operate at the lowest level, you're going to get people acting at the lowest level. It's one of the sad facts of life. I just got back from a month long school. As a 31yr old SSG, neither I or my NCO peers could drink. Higher is so deathly afraid of shenanigans that they throw down a blanket, stupid order. Guess what? The people that are going to do stupid things are STILL going to do stupid things. All you're doing is punishing the responsible people for the possible actions of the few. Sort of like safety briefs. Do I really need to be told every week to not beat my wife, not drink and drive, etc? If someone is stupid enough to do something like that, they don't need to be in the military, period. Hold them accountable. You want to call someone an adult, treat them like one. Otherwise change the legal definition of an adult to 21 and be done with it.
  12. And this thread just took a turn for the ghey
  13. I know! Frustrating right? Such a great asset but I still cringe thinking of that thing smacking me around. Beside that and being a battery hog, they're pretty awesome.
  14. We got a bunch of stuff (PAS 13D's, LRF's, etc) right before we left for Mosul. For a minute, our platoon was split on A4's and M4's. We were still waiting on our 107's when this picture was taken.
  15. Yep, we would use them for target practice on our own time. I loved that you could pretty much pull off any main road in EP or NM and go shooting. I was always scared of the Oryx's after I saw one attack a HMMWV. Thing ####ed up a truck door on a moving vic.
  16. Yes Sir. I actually enjoyed the hell out of EP. I thought it was a great training environment and lots of extra stuff to do like ruck the Franklins, etc. I was lucky to be part of that unit at that time and place.
  17. Exactly. Long shots can happen but they are the exception. Some old(ish) school ('06) for some of you fools....before we broke out the Krylon Little Mk12 action:
  18. I was referring to Strickl's post Was he talking about something else? I probably would've chosen a picture from an inferior view to illustrate a sesamoid fracture. I'm not doubting your story but generally stress fractures occur in the metatarsals, specifically the 5th. A cuneiform stress fracture is more rare.
  19. In addition to all your other shenanigans, aren't you the guy that was claiming .mil service???
  20. Lol, I think you should read more on his actions. More like people sent him money and he never sent them their orders. There's correspondence of him acknowledging it before things went south in a bad way. It wasn't limited to one person either. I guess it is perspective. Enough to keep me away from the guy. Good luck.
  21. VTAC Brokos is a nice way to go with a belt set up. I've read good things about the HSGI sure-grip, and TYR apparently has a new, nice belt setup out. I wouldn't give risk giving any of my money to John Willis. If you do, I hope you actually get your product. There are too many verified stories of him ripping people off and his other online shenanigans. For chest rigs, look into ATS, Mayflower, Tactical Tailor, the HSGI/tacos seem to be really nice..... I also wouldn't get anything in 1000 cordura anymore either. 500 is a very nice, lightweight, and durable compromise. That's just a personal thing through use though. I would also recommend trying to pick things up used, especially if you're not 100% on what you want/need.
  22. A little different spin on things.....it's not isolated to .gov workers IMO
