I use a Belkin 750D - http://www.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=543388 and a Cisco Extender - http://homestore.cisco.com/en-us/adapters/linksys-RE1000-range-extender-bridge_stcVVproductId136607179VVcatId551966VVviewprod.htm If you're trying to go upstairs, especially for gaming, I wouldn't skimp. I tried getting by on the cheap and it only made me more frustrated. Spend the money now and avoid the frustration.

Cop Shoots and Kills Unarmed Ex-Soldier Near LaGuardia
scoutfsu replied to daddyo's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Since we're picking and choosing quotes out of articles to highlight..... That doesn't sound like road rage, that sounds like cops being in the right place at the right time. How many times have you seen people do that and wished they'd have been pulled over? The slant on these articles is typical. -
Yep, that picture is the best explanation for it. Stick with known quality for the re. extension.
-
This milspec is also threaded different (better/stronger). You can't go wrong with a quality receiver extension (ie - not ATI or the like).
-
Surprisingly they're now listed at AIM Surplus and I trust them.......I just don't trust RGuns and even if they are in spec, with such a negative and continuous history, I wouldn't give them my business.
-
Mike, RGuns has a significant history of bad, out of spec lowers, selling cut down barrels as new, yanking their customers around, shipping bad/unsafe ammunition, and being an all around ###hole. In one dispute they wrote the information of a customer, name/CC number/address on the internet, in another they sent a nasty email full of childish misspellings calling the guy a fu**ing IDOT (lol). They had out of spec receiver threads, canted magazine button release holes, etc. Their "F" rating with the BBB is there for a reason. Also affiliated with Delaware Machinery. IIRC, the owner was found guilty of impersonating LEO's - aka: Felony. He lost his FFL. I'm not sure what he did to transfer ownership but I believe it was to a family member. There are too many reputable companies putting out good, low priced lowers to deal with RGuns.
-
Based on their reputation (that they've gone out of their way to earn), I would avoid RGuns. Check into the back story.

You don't leave it on. It's for target identification. Weapon up, light on, decide whether it's a threat or not, and then proceed. You're not navigating through your house with it. It's why they have toggle/pressure switches....... What light do you have? a big +1 to JeffL on his post.
-
You generally don't turn them on per say. For most lasers (crimson trace comes to mind), it's a pressure switch in the grip. I've also tried M6X's and x400's.....just didn't do it for me. I'd rather have a WML and a good sight picture.

They work great when used properly. I had some on my issued 92....for close in, night work...they're pretty useful. A problem I find is that people think they can use them in the day time. Even with a PEQ15, it wasn't useful for then. They're a niche item.

Dan, Exactly what I thought was. That is a result of the FFFP No worries
-
The AR uses a free floating firing pin. It is a common mistake to those who aren't very familiar to think they have light primer strikes or will set off the round. I wouldn't worry about it HOWEVER, you should not chamber and reload rounds repeatedly. You run the risk of bullet setback (most likely) or setting off the primer (unlikely but not entirely impossible I guess).

Wife/Girlfriend, show us her stuff, what does she carry?
scoutfsu replied to a topic in Show and Tell
Went from a Kahr CW9 to a G19. Sometimes she'll carry my running pistol, an LCP. -
Anyone in the Memphis/Arlington need Glock 17 or 22 mags? I'm about to put in an order and wanted to see if anyone felt like splitting shipping. The mags are 12.95ea......

Yea I had a problem with Spikes over some MRP stuff. Fixed in the end but I wasn't pleased when I walked away. Yes, there were only a few of those uppers that made it out the door (that we know about b/c they were posted on Arfcom). Something that egregious never should have happened IMO. But no one is perfect, #### happens, etc......things were fixed in the end. That's how it should be handled by ALL companies. IIRC, the owner handled that personally and someone rightfully lost their job. My issue with them is constant mistakes/missing parts (indicating they don't learn), extremely hard to contact (unless you're starting a negative feedback thread about them - and even then, they might delete it if you post it in their subforum), CS that appears to be zero help, etc. I could care less about shipping times and I believe they're upfront about that. Again, my gripe with PSA is about exactly what Major Kong went through. His experience is not unique.
-
I agree with you with the caveat of that's not 100% true. Mostly true (including the one post wonders) but I've seen a few threads that have left me disquieted enough to take my business elsewhere for now. Since Christmas is the season of giving, it would really feel like Christmas if you directed those packages my way
-
Is their customer service department the ones forgetting to include all the correct parts to LPK's? Or installing the wrong gas tubes? They seem to be getting a lot of the blame for what isn't their fault....although they're definitely lacking in other areas. These threads make me sound anti-PSA and I'm not. I'm more disappointed that what used to be a pretty good company continually ignores it's screwups and then blames customers. Time after time I've watched them and their followers gang up on people with legitimate complaints. That's not a business I really want to support and I would rather buy from another company that respects its customers enough to not lie to them.
-
As long as you don't give him access to your weapons or take him shooting, you're fine. Lord knows, talking to him about guns will land you in prison....
-
This is also standard according to other feedback threads I've read
-
Well Ah reckon everyone starts somewhere...and ignoring complaints, ignoring customers questions, emails, and phone calls, deleting negative/constructive feedback, having an all around fail on attention to detail, etc is a pretty good start. Again, if you feel the potential money that you save is worth the potential headache, then have at it. I would advise caution. And light weight barrels are fine.
-
I guess that'll work right up until you're the one having problems with them. That's usually the line with Botach.....I was one of those that had to learn the hard way. Screw me once, shame on you. Screw me twice, shame on me. I learned a while back that, almost always, the hassle and frustration isn't worth the potential savings.

Here you go: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/52837-customer-service-disappointment-palmetto-state-armory/ And that lack of CS is typical of them. The juice isn't worth the squeeze.

Customer service disappointment- Palmetto State Armory

Brother, that's been their M.O. They are infamous for deleting negative posts about them everywhere they have control. I'm still amazed at all the chuckleheads that spring to their defense and insist they do no wrong. -
