1. Also, looking at your pictures, your FH is fine. It does not need to be timed. If you want it timed, get the proper shims for it. What that guy did was torque down and not pay attention to what he was doing.....wrench slipped and rounded the flat. Be glad he didn't screw up your teeth.
2.
Not a professional that's for sure! Local guy with some ARs. Might just send it to adco, has anyone had experience with the smith at On Target in Murfreesboro?
Hahaha, tried to save money by going to a local guy huh? Like I said earlier in your other thread, been there - done that and regretted it. Kinda like what you're doing now. Please, learn from my experience and send it off to the people who do this sort of thing every day. It usually costs less in the long run when you figure in the heartache. Weapons Outfitters in WA is 100% good to go. Roy will not and does not screw his customers. If he says it is new, then it is new. AAC is known for skipping things sometimes. I, just this morning, dealt with their CS about something that we've been going back and forth for the past two weeks about. I am less than pleased and won't be ordering direct from them ever again.
3. Interesting to see some of the sesamoid bones in the carpus. That radius/ulna looks painful too but at least theres no impacted or splintered areas. I'm waiting for the same call for my kid.... Hope yours recovers quickly.
4. You bought an Triji ACOG? Or the Triji TriPower?
5. I thought so too.....until it took a month and a half to get my stuff back and it looked mangled. My guy decided he wanted to reinterpret the rules and spot welded it in four places too. They also gave me a lot of trouble over a F/A BCG. You may find a local guy who is capable and competent. But you have just as good a chance, if not more so, not to. SF and AAC muzzle devices are tough to pin correctly. YMMV. Good luck in your choice
6. This sort of thing is worth the shipping/cost of having it done right. Don't let a local shop ruin it. I tried to go cheap/local on a Colt 14.5 upper back in 08 and was severely disappointed. Marvin Pitts (Nefarious Arms) or ADCO.
7. I don't remember hundreds of dollars each but I remember $100+ glock 17 mags....
8. What are you using to smooth it out so well? 400 grit sand paper?

MSAR STG E4 Rifle

All of that.....and they sell at around $1300. And shops wonder why no one buys from them....
10. You're just an elitist. All AR's are the same....I mean, they all look alike right? You're just a tacticool snob. Blackthorne/Hesse represents everything that is wrong with low budget AR's and their low budget partners who advertise to the unknowing and cheap. People that think they're getting over on the suckers that pay 1k for a good rifle. The same type of people who will buy a $80 clone red dot and think they're smarter than the crowd. That video has been around for a while.....and people still buy from them
11. Should've caught him. You could've fought him against a spider....
12. It does not need to go through an FFL. All typical firearms transactions intrastate do not require an FFL/4473.
13. Roaches......definitely roaches. In Florida, they fly at you and they're called Palmetto Bugs. F'in frightening.

MSAR STG E4 Rifle

This is exactly what you should do. I had an E4 w/ zero issues and loved it. I regret selling it and will buy another some day. However, when MSAR was spiraling down the drain, they (specifically Tony) screwed a lot of people. It is worth the extra couple hundred dollars for a quality AUG.
15. "There's only one way to be sure...Nuke the entire site from orbit"......
16. Did you just cut and copy this to a PM? Guy, no one is pouncing on anything. It's all about putting out correct information or clarifying posts. My feelings weren't hurt when Dolomite corrected my F1/F4 comment. No one is attacking you. Your unformatted wall of words is hard to decipher. If you're going to bother to post, can you please make it easier for us to read?
17. Ted, please......please try and format your thoughts into somewhat coherent sentences. I'm having trouble reading your posts.
18. A store might give you $100. I've seen them selling for around $250
19. Lol no they don't share the same lower. Think about the size of the round and magazine. A 7.62 AR is far bigger dimensionally. eta: Man, that took a while to post.......weird. eta again - SW, you'll need a magwell adapter for a pistol caliber magazine. You're going to find that it's going to be far easier to just get extra lowers. Extra uppers seem to find extra lowers......kinda like how dust bunnies multiply
20. There's a guy in MidTown that's been trying to sell a Gen2 G23 for quite a while now. $400
21. Roger on the F1. I was looking at the picture and seeing already built gun/F4 when we're talking about dropping something onto an already bought Glock frame/F1.
22. Hey Glock30, are those DDLES's? They look different than the ones I saw. Can you take a picture of the other side?
23. Probably because after the media inspired roar died down, no one really cared or noticed......kinda like before it. I hope they're on mine early next year....
24. I don't know why they're saying that unless it's some grand .gov conspiracy to put people into jail. I could be missing something but I don't think so. Stock allowing it to be fired from the shoulder? Check. Barrel under 16 inches? Check Why on earth someone would spend another $500 on top of a $500 pistol when they could go get a far better dedicated rifle is beyond me. A fool and his money I suppose. Those things are the definition of ghey
25. Because it's not a rifle. It's an SBR and requires a F4 and $200
