    ruger mini 30

They must have changed their policy. I thought Value Pawn got out of selling firearms.
  2. Somebody mentioned metal detectors earlier, these would do no good unless there is somebody there to see what caused the metal detector to go off. I made one go off at the court house by the foil in my pack of cigarettes. I bet everyone that goes through a metal detector will make it go off with their belt buckles, key chains or any number of things, so they're worthless for checking to see if someone is carrying. BTW, contrary to what I've heard some people say, those things by the doors at the entrances and exits of stores are not metal detectors. They go off when someone tries to shoplift something that hasn't been scanned.
  3. OK, I've not gotten any (yet). What new weapons or accessories did people get?
  4. That's how I am. I want a pocket gun to carry when I can't carry the MP9c. Then I would like a 1911 45 of some sort or maybe a tactical rifle with sniper ability of some sort.
  5. That's it. I thought that was pretty humorous.
  6. One of them is circled already. No mag. There are 2 more.
  7. My MP9c shot about an inch to the left out of the box. I still haven't gotten around to fixing that yet. Your head shots look to the left or were you aiming at that one eye?
  8. Don't forget about the National Park Laws in January.
  9. This could be your last day at work if you spilled that coke and fried some electronics. LOL

    Salute

That was new to me. Hmm, I wonder if you can render the salute with your ballcap on or do you have to remove it ?? As a Veteran, I like it.
  11. This is why I like to carry 11 O'Clock. No worries of anybody trying to get at it. Are you sure it was "That" weapon he was looking at??
  12. I wonder if employers would still honor the hire back law if they were to be called up?? I also wonder if any other state has someting similar to this. I might've been interested if my work schedule wasn't all over the place.
  13. That is very good advice that I have actually used before and have told my former wife to do as well. A couple of nights, she had somebody that was actually following her from church but pulled away before she got home. He pulled up beside her one night and saw her on the cell phone and he took off and it never happened again. I told her to drive to the local police station while calling 911 or to a very public and crowded place. Or if she were close to home, to circle around the block and call me and I would meet her somewhere. There was a car that followed me about 5 miles one night and instead of pulling in my driveway I circled around. He kept going on straight. He just lived in the same neighborhood as me. You never know though.
  14. When I was non-union, we were working at a union job at night. One of our workers turned on a big light unit so we could see. Ther union guys jumped all over him to turn it off because he wasn't a union electrician. We had to wait for a union electrician to come in and turn it off and turn it back on again. Now that I am union, I see where there are a lot of dead weights that don't hardly do anything. Some are just there for the insurance. Only because that they're the old timers is the reason the union is keeping them. I've seen the company fire really great workers for trite reasons only to have the union sweep it under the rug because the worker didn't have have enough time in to fight for.
  15. Oh crap, I just looked at their webpage and the local Applebees don't honor the free meal. I called one of them and they will give a 10% discount though. Nice try, but, Sorry, not good enough. I'm scheduled to work the 17th during the Golden Corrals meal so thats out of the question. Dang, I guess just pbj's or bologna sandwiches then.
  16. Cool, I may just take up Applebees offer.
  17. I actually did have 4 years in the Marines and then 4 years in the Army. I came a hair of going in the Navy after these. The banjo player was retiring from the Navy country/bluegrass band and I almost sent in an audition tape.
  18. I wonder if all the black and hispanic folk are finally glad to be Americans? Do you think they will git rid of African-American, Hispanic-American, and just be Americans now?? HMM. I bet they don't.
  19. Here's what I found on it. A unanimous vote and signed by the Gov. Actions Taken on SB1597 Pub. 20. Anyone know where I can get a good carb. or carb rebuild kit for a '50 Mercury V-8 flathead??
  21. I'll second that one. I was looking at the M-44's (Mosin carbine) this past weekend and wondering what kinda kick those suckers have.
  22. As a matter of fact it was. I remember seeing the "Legally Armed" bumper stickers. He was also selling the HCP badges. <snicker>
  23. WTG, yes, PFC will reap it's rewards. 13 pull ups?? You're over halfway there. 20 was the max for 100 points, at least I'm guessing it's still the same. If you can get 13 now, they'll squeeze those other 7 out of you before you leave. Learn the swinging method. I remember the bus ride in, the guard at the main gate had the biggest grin on his face. Semper Fi
  24. I was at the Jacobs Bldg. gun show this past Saturday and the guy selling the book about the laws of traveling to other states, can't remember the name of it, argued with me that this Bill is not signed . "Also signed was Senate Bill 1597, introduced by State Senator Mark Norris (R-32), legislation prohibiting any government agency from regulating the lawful sale, possession, transfer, transport, and carry of firearms during a state of emergency, such as occurred following Hurricane Katrina." I was gonna buy one of those books till he started in on that.
