So what do you think of the College Football Playoff system?
jtmaze replied to maroonandwhite's topic in General Chat
I haven't seen the new rules but can't be worse than what they had. The argument has always been time. They can't start the season before school starts and can't run too far into next year. Keep in mind these guys "still have to go to school and make good grades to play." JTM Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Jose Canseco shoots hand while cleaning gun.
jtmaze replied to suspiciousmind's topic in General Chat
Didn't we have another thread on here where a LEO admitted that a gun cleaning accident could mean anything from suicide to ND. That one a guy shot himself in the face with a ak. JTM Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I think that is one of those assumptions that we have to make that they talked about her missing and there was nothing they could do in their current situation. She has lost so much she has probably numbed to the loss of a family member. Remember she was in terminus locked up when she ran into Darryl and Rick. JTM Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anything vertical on a forearm. Anything that people pay a premium for because of brand. I am a tight a$$ so I can afford guns. There are a lot of good things out there that you don't have to give an arms for. JTM We the People of the United States, in order to form a more Perfect Union......

Just had a Burger King manager want to fight me
jtmaze replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in General Chat
On the flip side, I had a customer threaten to "come take his frustrations out on me this morning." I am glad that you got that problem fixed. I work retail and we had a washer delivered yesterday that had a burning smell while running. Customer called this morning and we were out of washer, offered to pick one up at another store and deliver tomorrow. Only one delivery truck. Most people this wouldn't be a problem. To make a long story short, he threatened me and then came down and acted an ass for about 30 minutes cussing and acting a fool. I am 6'2" 275lb and I guess he decided when he got here his mouth had outrun his..... He settled for me bringing him a new washer tomorrow, so he could have stayed home. Some people just can't help it. This is why I have so little faith in society as a whole. JTM Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

What kind of belt do you wear with your holster?
jtmaze replied to jeff43's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I know that good belts are very important. If you have an Amish community near you check there. I found mine at an Amish hardware store in MI and they are the best belts I have ever owned. 1.75 inches wide and .25 inch thick real leather with ss buckle. $15. I have one in brown and black. Great deal. Last forever and don't stretch. JTM Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

You could have got the same thing with one NRA flag and your neighbors wouldn't hate you. I guess that depends on where you live. JTM Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Problems with ProMag brand magazines
jtmaze replied to Camaro_nut2001's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
Take a factory mag and a promag fully loaded and put butt down on solid surface and see if the Promag doesn't have the front of the bullet riding higher than the factory mag. Bought a couple of Promags for the wife's .380 and had this problem. Took hours in the shop to beat them into spec. Would have been better to spend the $20 extra and get factory mags. Had to do this anyway because I didn't want her carrying the Promags. Just range mags now. JTM Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

P-51 pilot who chased a German plane through the Eiffel Tower dies.

I have seen crop dusters go under power lines. One of the great crop dusters around here when I was growing up around the EAA guys said the first things he did everytime he flew in tight spots was to scare the s#|+ out of himself and he was really careful the rest of the day. This man is a true hero. Obviously one of the greats. JTM Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I work in retail and karma is a bioch. I actually have a contest going on with a friend of mine at work to see who can peg out the Karma meter(good karma). The way you add to the karma meter is by providing excellent customer service to the crazies without complaining. If you dump a crazy person off on someone else your good karma goes down. When your karma meter runs dry you get a whole day of all crazy people. JTM Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I am 6'2" 275 and carry OWB with a long shirt. The only time I carry IWB is wearing a suite(once or twice a year) I carry small of back with a reinforced tagua sob holster that I have found very comfortable. I have no a$$ disease so this comes in handy when it comes to the spare tire I carry everywhere else. And that is a xd40 service model. Just be careful if you sit down on a hard surface you get a noticeable clunk. JTM Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There are truths to both sides of this story. Most aerobatics when done correctly never stress the air frame anywhere near its limits. As the son of a pilot, I have been in more airplanes small and large and at age 17 went to the Oshkosh Fly In. Personally watched Bob Hoover take a Strike Commander(his personal plane) to 15000 feet and shut the engine off, fly aerobatics all the way down, land, taxi to the grandstand get out and say "how are y'all doing today." This is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. I have also seen an old friend of dad's, taxi back into the ramp with one arm holding the windscreen in where he tried to roll his Champ. I know Sidewinder knows who that was May have even been there. It more depends on the skill of the pilot than the strength of the aircraft. JTM Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
