  7. A friend of mine has a p229 in .40 s&w with the drop in .357 sig conversion and I asked if the .357 sig had less recoil because the xd40 I carry is a little snappy for my wife and I was thinking about going to .357 sig because of lighter bullet and was told the .357 sig had somewhat More recoil by my friend. Maybe he was mistaken. Any thoughts on which has less recoil. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I want a vintage garrand just for history's sake. That just might make it affordable. I really can't afford to spend $1000 on a gun I will only shoot once a year recreationally. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. One of my coworkers an I were having the " go to Memphis " conversation with a nonHCP person at work the other day and both agreed that Jackson was usually one pistol multiple mags and Memphis was multiple guns multiple mags . Just For the record, several years ago another friend p mine was the service manager at a Jeep dealer downtown and a police officer told him after dark slow down and look at red lights but don't stop unless he had to, to avoid an accident. 10. I don't know now a few years ago you could but not sure now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Thank you for your answers. This topic came up when I forgot I had my serpa oc holster on when going to play a pool tourney at a friends pool room. I usually cc carry there just to avoid the looks of the other customers. The owner pretty much stood up for me when a customer quizzed him about it. And we got to talking about whether he could post and still keep a gun behind the bar. All pool rooms are in questionable locations and I am sure I am not the only armed person in the building. I don't think if I answered his question about posting and that he would actually do it but you don't want the place to turn into the Wild West. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. What I meant was if there is a gun buster sign on the door and he has a permit. Could a business owner ( not property ) carry a weapon in his business. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  20. I am going to be traveling during the holidays and am looking for something inexpensive to conceal carry while traveling just to avoid hassle. I always OC here at home. I really don't want to spend a fortune but don't want to have my Xd40 falling out in a gas station somewhere. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I agree. Why wouldn't you just show the officer your permit with respect and go on. I live in very small town and recently had several new police officers in town and I know one was really shocked when he pulled over me and several of my friends all HCP holder over on separate occasions all in his 1st week. Most of us he didn't even ticket. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
