My father in law has the exact same problem in Detroit. Or garden city mi. The problem is the squatter is his deadbeat brother in his mothers house. Long story short. Grams got sick and needed someone to take care of her, brother move in with gf, did not take care of grams. My wife and I actually went up for a week to take care of her while fil was working. Fil retired and moved to his home in western MI and took grams with him. Brother sold all the furniture, trashed the house and they had to hire a lawyer to get him out. They are supposed to meet the State Police there one day this month to remove him and change the locks to sell the house with no guarantees that he just won't break back in. Spoiled children at 52. My Fil is retired navy and a ccp holder and has to remove his gun when meeting with his brother so he can't claim he threatened him. I told my Fil that if he would give me a months notice I would go help evict him southern style. This is his own brother. Grams gave him $11000 to get on his feet(early inheritance). Well I got the springs and followers in today and while I had apart I decided to check the specs on the Promags versus Bersa mag. The space between the ears(for lack of a better term) that holds the casing in the mag was .020 wider on thepromags than the Bersa. This was allowing the front of the bullet to be 1/16+ higher in the Promags than the Bersa mag. I closed the gap to the same specs as the Bersa mag and put new springs and followers in. It appears this is going to fix the problem. Didn't get a chance to shoot tonight but will tomorrow. It seems that the side walls on the Promags were much weaker than the sides on the factory mags. We will see how it holds up. If they do again will scrap and buy Bersa mags. They will be ok for range mags.

I think the concern with checking the serial at a traffic stop causes issues with some folks because later down the road that weapon is on record of being in their possession at that date and time. Many people buy, sell, and trade guns regularly. John has an SP101 serial #xxxxx. You stop him and run the serial #. John sells SP101 to Bob the next day. A month later Bob's house get broken into and gun stole then recovered at a crime scene. You start looking for John because a month ago this weapon was in his possession when you pulled him over. The 2A has been upheld to mean that the government cannot keep files on everyone who owns guns just because they own a gun. On another note, I have been pulled over twice while carrying and had the slide locked back and permit in hand when officer approached the vehicle. Neither time did either officer take my weapon just asked me not to touch it. Both times he had a second car come to watch me while he wrote me a ticket. Neither was a bad experience outside of ticket.

I have been looking for a pocket carry revolver for when I am wearing overalls with no where to put a holster. The sp101 was what I have been looking at but the prices have been in the way. Plus that is another caliber to feed. I already have .40 s&w around the house and this in 40 would be ideal. I need to find one to touch first and check out the chamber and extraction and see how they hold up to wear. JTM Sent from my iPhone

I agree. Right now gun ownership is in the hands of state officials and they are a lot easier to control/get rid of. No law ever needs to be passed that the federal government has the right to say that they can override state gun laws then you will see carrying nonexistent and ownership not far behind. That is absurd. It would just fill the landfills with things that have value to someone. That would mean when I replace the 37" tv in the den with a bigger one and move it to the bedroom, the 20" in the bedroom must go to the dump. It would be more hassle to sell than worth. Thanks guys. I have been online for the last 2 hours looking for Bersa mag parts for the last 2 hours and com up with nothing. Only thing I saw on Bersa.com was complete mags. I was watching hell on wheels could have missed them.

My wife has and loves a Bersa Thunder .380. She has 2 Promags that fail to feed the last round in each mag. The bullet gets stuck between top of barrel and slide. I have 1 Bersa mag that works flawlessly. These mags have only had about 100 rnds each thru them. Took both mags apart and cleaned and greased. The springs were a little bit shorter than the Bersa spring but not much. Should I just trash the mags and get more Bersa mags or try and repair with new springs and followers.

I have the net gear n900(I think) set up in my basement and covers my 2300 sq ft house fine. Even has good coverage out on deck which has to go thru block wall and about 10' of dirt line of site from iPad to router. JTM Sent from my iPhone
