What sickens me is that from the sound of these report there were "assets" in the area that were willing to go help and told not to go because,"there was not enough information to send them". That is BS. When someone gives his life voluntarily to save another that is the ultimate sacrifice and sign of true bravery. I use a led 3cell mag light. $40 at lowes or anywhere else. I don't live alone so do walk thur house in dark. I just recently purchased my childhood home so I can walk thur it blindfolded and hit all the switches. I have scared the bejesus out of my daughter by flipping on the light when she is trying to come in late undetected. It was fun for me. Where I live is very rural, so dialing 911 and waiting is not an option(45minute response time.) I also have 3 good burglar alarms, they get out of bed go check out noise and come back and lay down. What is unrealistic is who shot who. All have same colored paint and the attacker knows he can't be injured. Full sized paint balls hurt I bet that those are less that a bb strike. Simply if an untrained attacker starts receiving return fire most of the time they go down or flee. I personally stand on my back deck and practice drawing from a similar concealment with a loaded weapon weekly. That is what sd is about being prepared, not just having a gun. And how are they to say that CCP holders don't train. My parents retired to their river house just across the river at fishers landing and my aunt lives in perry county just east of the river and as far as farm land there are 2-3 acre fields surrounded by hills. Not sure about the eastern part of county but willing to bet there is not a 1/4 mile stretch of straight road in the western part of county. I mean real "drunk Indian on a wild horse" stuff. To me, all birds of prey are awesome birds, one day last week we had a golden eagle hanging behind the house. I was sleeping in and my wife( who gets up early to have coffee with the birds) came running in the house yelling you have to get out here to see this. Came out and there was a golden eagle lit on a branch just outside the fence for the dogs. He kept swooping down to where I had discarded some squirrel skins and guts the night before. I did a little research and found out the golden eagles will eat carrion. I will keep putting stuff out for him when available and see if I can make a pet. I think we are starting to see the brutality it will take to survive in an EOTWAWKI situation and I think it will be great for the show and really open some eyes. It has been discussed on here many times and the sheep will be food. For a moment I thought Rick was going to let that convict walk and I was going to be pissed. One thing I liked was that it showed Rick with his hand on his gun the whole time he was interacting with the prisoners. That showed that he was serious about protecting the group at all costs.
