The American Diabetes Association was working on getting the laws changed on some of the regs. I am not sure if they did. I haven't checked on any of that in 20 yrs. I came from a long family list of pilots. One of the few times I have ever seen my dad cry was when I was diagnosed as a type 1 diabetic and couldn't get a class 1. That day 30+ years ago we were flying rides at the Humboldt TN airport to support the local EAA chapter. I have flown with my dad thur almost anything and everything in a small airplane just to get in the air. Bad things can happen to the most experienced pilot when just one thing goes wrong. As I posted earlier, I have rear mounted lights for off-roading that have never been on the road. I have found that 3 quick taps on the brake lights work if not repeat. A friend of mine got caught before the current HCP laws were in place. He owns his own business and carried at work under the law at the time it was legal. Forgot to unload on the way home. I spent two years as a manager with AZ 15 yrs ago. The biggest difference in the longevity of batteries is the thickness of the lead plates. Typically the longer the replacement warranty the heavier the lead plate and more susceptible to heat problems(less water surrounding the plates), this can effect the overall battery life. By the way there are only 2 or 3 companies that make car batteries, Johnson controls, Douglas and exide. Just different labels.
