  1. Probably..... we should try it and see
  2. He could donate it to my gun museum......
  3. My mom has this exact gun and it's a sweet little shooter for it's size... I'd carry one
  4. Can we fix it?
  5. I believe it's slowly getting back to normal... I just bought 500 quiet cci rounds last wednesday and I saw another store advertising that they just got in a shipment of standard velocity ccis....   I think right now it's more about where you live
  6. What's next on your gun buying bucket list?
  7. http://www.galleryofguns.com/genie/default.aspx?item=50575  Mossberg 500 with Tri-rail with a SureFire light mounted to the right...  topped off with Winchester PDX1 12 gauge....      Or the S&W M&P15X with Eotech, filled with xm193....   just depends on what the threat is and if it's made it into the house yet or not....  Also depends if there's multiple threats, what their distance from me is, and if they have any kind of armor....

Not sure what it'll be shot at most ...  I'd say between 25-600 yards, just shooting paper, steel, and other fun targets...   I figured if I went with a 200 yard zero, it would give me more flexability with close and far targets without a ton of compensation for bullet drop...

From my reading, I should zero it in at 200 yards, correct?

It seems to have a relatively nice pad on it, but a limbsaver may be a good investment

    My First 308

I may, or may not have went to the local gun shop today and picked up one of these for Christmas....   http://www.mossberg.com/product/rifles-bolt-action-centerfire-mvp-series-mvp-patrol-mvp-patrol-762mm-nato/27742     I remember drooling at the Ruger Gun Scout when it first came out, but I never "pulled the trigger" on it, and somebody else bought it....    Since then, I haven't seen one in any shops.  Today, I found this one and pretty much feel in lust with it after holding it.   Anybody else out there have one?       I'll post targets/video when I take it out for the first time.... hopefully before Christmas, but that depends on 1. My work schedule and 2. The weather
  13.   That's ok, I've been thinking about chronographs recently anyways
  14. What powders would you suggest I try and acquire?
  15. Also, I plan on casting 125 gr and 158 gr bullets for the .357 magnum loads and I'll probably use store bought stuff for 9mm and 30-06
  16. I have some Goex ffg black powder, and some Triple 7 BP substitute, but I have no smokeless powders at all.   I'm brand new to reloading, but I've done quite a bit of research...    but I haven't narrowed down a particular powder that I want to use because nothing is available to get in my area....    The black powder and substitute is for reloading for an original Springfield Trapdoor from 1884.   I've casted 405 gr lead bullets, and I was planning on using my Dillon 550B to reload them, but then I read that you're not to use black powder in Dillon's powder measurer due to static electricy.....   But I didn't know if Triple 7 would create too much pressure for it being an old trapdoor....   Their site suggests 60 grain load, but they don't tell what pressures it would exert....   And I don't know what other powders to use for 45-70, except maybe TrailBoss, which I can't find....   So I may be purchasing a Hornady black powder powder measurer, if it will work with the Dillon 550B (which I think it will)     So after all that rambling, what should I do?
  17. also gonna load 45-70 for an original trapdoor, but i can find black powder
  18. 357 magnum, 9mm and 30-06, and maybe some 45 acp
  19. Just got my Dillon RL550B Friday, but it's not doing anything because there's absolutely no pistol powder in all of East Tennessee!   On the plus side, I got 500 rounds of 22lr for $32 at Mahoney's in JC
  20. I sent them a PM before I drove down there, and they said they didn't have any
  21. After a rough day of fixing computers at our business, came home and found the Fedex man delivered my Dillon 550B! It took exactly a week to get from brianenos.com So after a couple hours of reading, youtubing, and setting up, this is what I've go so far... Now if I could only find some pistol powders I'll be set.
  22. Will you have any pistol powders?
  23. very fun, and you don't have to wear ear plugs, nor does it disturb the neighbors!!!   Just wish it was easier to come by
  24. Winchester Model 1906.... pump action built in 1908
