  1. Beautiful little pistol...I'd probably keep it just like it is. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Congrats on a very nice K31! They are one of the most accurate mil-surp rifles available. If you do your part, they are capable of shooting MOA groups. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. You can find it for five cents or a little less per round now if you can be at the right place at the right time. The problem is that almost everyone still buys up their limit any time they see it whether they need it or not in order to build their own personal stockpile until they feel comfortable enough to shoot some without ever running short again. Scalpers add to the problem too, but I think that is becoming less of a problem because the potential profit is not as much as it used to be. Unfortunately, I don't see the hoarding behavior ending any time soon, and the manufacturers are afraid to invest in new manufacturing capacity because they think it will end sooner than later and they don't want to be stuck with costly excess capacity. I don't think that would happen though since there has also been a substantial increase in the number of new sport shooters and 22lr sporting rifles and pistols that demand this ammo. Only time will tell, but I don't think this shortage will ever end until at least some of the manufacturers get their heads out of their ass and invest in some additional manufacturing capacity. 4. The link for the rebate is not correct. It refers back to last year...but they do have a 2015 rebate going as well, so the deal is still correct. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. I have one if those too, but it's single action and has a safety, which for a novice shooter to contend with means more complexity than the G42. It's smaller size probably still makes it more snappy than the Glock, but I could be wrong...we'll see. I'm going to have her shoot some single stack 9mm pistols too, but the recoil may not be as comfortable for her as a .380 even though the 9mm pistols I would have her shoot are larger pistols. Back on topic...sorry for thread drift. I currently don't have a polymer frame single stack 9mm, and want one, so i will probably end up with a Shield or CW9. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I bought a G42 for my daughter to shoot. She has extremely small hands and the little .380 pocket pistols are just too snappy. I wanted something larger that would be easier for her to shoot. The PPK style pistols, which are of similar size are blowback operation and I think they still have more felt recoil than the G42. The only other option is the Walther PK380, and I have one of those too, so she can see which one she likes best. I think buyers like me and other recoil sensitive buyers are what is driving the sales of the G42. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I was also holding off to see whether they would come out with a single stack 9mm. Looks like it isn't happening, so I'll just have to more seriously consider the alternative options. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Obviously, shipping will eat you up on that "bulk" order...if you didn't live on the other side of the state, I could help you out with a box. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Shipping is costly, but you have to buy enough ammo at one time to minimize the shipping impact. I usually buy a few boxes of several things I don't need at the moment but that I know I will use in the long run. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I think a lot of places just don't carry it anymore. Your best bet will be large gun stores or online at places like AIM Surplus or CTD. AIM gets it in fairly regularly, but you better buy it quick because their price is much lower than most places that they sell out pretty quickly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. You may want to consider the MK9 instead. Obviously a little more weight, but it handles the recoil much better. I really like mine, but haven't practiced using one hand either. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. I've bought a lot of Mouseguns on GB over the last five years, and most of the time the sellers I have dealt with have been great to deal with. I look at a sellers reputation and make sure that I'm comfortable with their terms. If they are too one-sided in their business practices, I just don't bother with them. Also, if they don't accept C&R and they are selling older guns, I don't bother with them. That's a sure sign that they will be a PITA to deal with anyway. Finally, you have to have an FFL dealer that is easy to work with and responds to the selling FFL promptly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Good luck finding #2 and #3, and I'm sure they will be pricey if you do find them. I have #1, but alas, as we have discussed before, we live too far apart. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Now that there is funny! I don't care who you are. :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Until recently that was also my situation. I still haven't found anything in stores, but have lucked out on a couple of the free shipping holiday sales and picked up a bucket and a couple of bricks. Then today my year old back order finally shipped from Midway USA. Things are finally looking up. :) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. I just received an email from Midway that my case order of Winchester 555 bulk boxes has finally shipped. Took more than a year to ship, but it finally did. Price with shipping was less than $.05 per round. I noticed that the current pricing listed on the site is about 5% higher than the price I bought it for, but it's still not in stock and back orders still not accepted. So $.06 might become the new shipped price until demand is finally met. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Examples of both of those guns are in the pics. [emoji4] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. I don't shoot all of them. Quite a few are ANIB or in excellent condition. I shoot the two FIE Titans, the Sterlings, one of the Ravens and the Jimenez JA-22 occasionally. Having said that, I have no concerns about shooting any of these guns. The guns that have given these types of guns a bad name are the larger caliber pistols without sufficient size to the frame...Hi Point solved this problem by beefing up the frame sufficiently to the point that you feel like you are holding a brick. For that reason, I have little interest in any zamak framed guns larger than .25acp unless it is a Hi Point. And, of course Hi Points are not the best looking guns either... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. Since graycrait has been bitten by the mousegun flu, I thought I'd share some of my collection. These are mostly Zamak framed, but there are a few exceptions, such as the Sterlings. The ones in the first pic are all .22LR. The second pic is of the 5 variations of Ravens. The last pic is of assorted .25acp pistols. Sorry for the picture quality and the lighting. I'll take some pics of the higher quality Beretta, Astra, Bauer, Seecamp, Hi Standard and Colt pistols another day with better lighting. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. Ahhh, you have been seriously bitten by the mousegun bug! [emoji6] It is an incurable disease that I succumbed to about 5 years ago. My disease is more serious though because I had to seek out both .22LR and .25acp pistols and revolvers. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. That is the condition I was hoping to get from Classic Firearms based on their video, but mine looks far more worn than that. Congrats on getting a good one from PSA! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. 25 bucks? I don't think this ammo has been priced that low for over 10 years, so that is not realistic. Prior to the current crisis, I believe this was probably selling at around $40-45. Even so, I think $.05 per round is probably close to the new normal price for this ammo, so I was happy to get a bucket. This is the first of the "cheaper" stuff that I've been able to find in two years. I was able to get a few boxes of some CCI ammo recently at reasonable prices and that was the first I had been able to buy since November 2012. So, maybe supply will finally start to catch up with demand in 2015. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Bass Pro has the 1400 round Remington bucket of bullets as a cyber special today for $69.99 and free shipping. Limit one, but with free shipping that's a pretty good price. Not sure how long they will last. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. The site I listed below is probably the best mousegun site on the internet now. Many of us on the site were very familiar with Marshall and his Mouseguns website and felt like we had lost one of our best friends when he died. Don't let the introduction fool you into thinking the site is only about Bryco, Jennings, et al. There are a lot of very knowledgable people on that site...and no gun snobbery allowed. :-) http://www.bryco-jennings-jimenezarms.com/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Well, I received the one that I ordered from Classic Firearms, and I'm wishing that I had paid the $20 for hand select. The finish is probably 40-50% gone with almost complete loss of finish at the front and back of the grip frame. It seems to be in mechanically good condition, but I haven't been able to shoot it yet. Hopefully it will still be a good shooter...just wish it looked a little better. [emoji22] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
