In case anyone didn't see the discussion in the Long Gun section, AIM Surplus has some Enfield No.5 MK 1 Jungle Carbines for sale. They are going fast, however, so you need to act fast before they are gone. Especially if you want one that is all numbers matching.

I also own both the LCP and the BG. I really like the LCP.  I wish it had better sights, but for the purpose that it was made, they are sufficient. I've never had a problem with the LCP, but I have had some light strikes with the BG and the laser activation is problematic. However, I do like the way the BG fits in my hands and the sights are much better than the LCP. Also since it is DAO, you have second strike capability by just pulling the trigger again if a light strike does occur.  I just had a stronger spring put in to see if that solves my light strike problem. I may have to look into the trigger kit that graycrait mentioned above if the new spring increases the trigger pull weight too much.

What really strikes me is that the OP appears to be a LEO. I don't like ridiculous rules either, but the Range has a legitimate reason behind this policy and it provides funding from the rule breakers for the eventual damage that will likely occur if the activity continues. Ranting about other possible restrictions that they could have, but don't have, just because of one rule that you don't like is not fair to the Range. Now if you want an example of a range that has some ridiculous rules that don't have any real legitimate basis behind them, look to the TWRA range in Memphis. On days that they are open to the public, hardly anyone shoots there, while Range USA a few miles down the road will have over an hour wait.   

Exactly! Classic Arms in Memphis had a bunch of the same stuff last week, but it was priced at $13.95/box of 100. That's still about 50 to 75% higher than it used to be and about twice what you used to be able to get it for at Walmart. I'm still not buying at those prices.

I buy most of my sippin' tequila in Cozumel, but I'll have to try the ones mentioned above.   For a $25-ish bourbon, Gentleman Jack is real smooth and obviously a TN whisky. Makers 46 is a good one for a little under $50, but I also like the JD Single Barrel. Prichards Double Chocolate (has a hint of chocolate, but isn't sweet) is very nice, but hard to find and will proably cost you more than $50.   

Since the OP asked about good BBQ downtown, I'll come to the defense of Rendezvous since it is within walking distance of Beale Street. If you like dry rub style ribs, a lot of mustard in your slaw and spicy (not too sweet) BBQ beans, you'll like Rendezvous. The decor/atmosphere with all of the old antiques, the brick walls and old style waiters is like no other place. I always take Memphis visitors there and they always love it. Go there for Lunch on Friday and you get a free bowl of BBQ gumbo/red beans and rice that I've always wished they had as a regular menu item.    Cozy Corner is a less well known little place on the north side of downtown that is not really within reasonable walking distance from Beale Street. It is also only open for lunch and very early dinner. It is one of my favorite lunch places, although it has been a while since I have eaten there.   Most of the other places mentioned, while very good, aren't really downtown. You'll need to drive a little ways to find most of them, and several are quite far from downtown.    

Uh-oh, you've given graycrait another .22LR build idea...not that he "needs" another tack-driving one hole grouping .22LR rifle.  ;)

I don't believe any High Standard Revolvers were ever constructed out of pot metal (zinc alloy also known as zamak). The earlier ones were made with aluminum frames and some of the later ones were made with steel frames. Here is a good article on Double Nines.   http://unblinkingeye.com/Guns/HSD9/hsd9.html   They are desirable, and I have seen some nice specimens bring prices in line with the prices for Ruger Single-Six revolvers. I have several High Standard Sentinel revolvers, but I do not have any Double Nines, so I am always on the lookout for one at a reasonable price.

They are not very desirable at all, so why don't you come to west TN and I'll give you a couple of C notes so you can get rid of it. ;)

The Opryland Resort Hotel is worth the experience once, but after that I'd pass. Unless they have changed policies, their swimming pools close at a ridiculously early time...not good for a family. The wait time to check in is also like being in line at Disney World for the privilege to get on a popular ride. The resort is beautiful, and I love walking around the indoor gardens, but I stay at Fairfields and Hamptons most of the time these days and go visit the Resort if I feel like strolling around the gardens. 

I don't think I could ever consider a S&W 19-3 an "oddball" by any definition...nice revolver though. Now this is an oddball: My CDM Products .22 Mag. double barreled swivel derringer.

The SR22 is a fun little pistol...not a tack driver by any means, but a fun little plinker in a fairly small package.

$299 is still a decent price for a S&W model 64 if they are in pretty good condition.

  That is way too high. The Hunter is very desirable, so some dealers may not go much below msrp, but to be more than $100 over msrp is ridiculous. I passed on a used one recently at my LGS that was priced somewhere between $450 and $500 if I remember correctly. It was in excellent condition, and it has since sold, but it was available for several weeks as I recall. I probably should have bought it.

Two reasons that I like visiting NJ...going to NY Giants games and touring the rural areas and small towns, but I'd never live there.

Great pistols even with the mag disconnect issue and LCI. If those issues bother you, graycrait's post above will help you resolve them. I have the 22/45 MKIII, but I also have a MKII and MKI. I'll likely never let go of any of them.  :pleased:

For the money, the HP carbines can't be beat. I have the 9mm model with the TS stock...that's what finally got me to buy one. I never could pull the trigger on the purchase of one with the planet of the apes style stock.  

I think I will add this to my long list instead of my short list...gotta save up the money first.  :drool:

The Ruger LCP works very well for me...of course. :pleased:   I have several other pocket guns in .380 acp, but the LCP is the go to pistol most of the time.

For $100 more the S&W is by far a better buy...just my opinion of course.   :2cents:
