The 19 wins all around. The new 92s have 17round mags. But you could just slip a G17 mag in the 19 with a grip sleeve to cover that or just carry a 17 mag for the reload. I would never carry a 92 in any way unless it was issued to me as a LEO or in the military. The glock 19 is the perfect size for concealed carry IMO.

For hunting large game it depends on the round you are using and the range. For instance, as far as effective range, the .45acp is only ethical on deer sized game to 35-40yards, where as the .44 mag is good to 100yards and the .460SW is good past 200+yards, then you have rifle caliber revolvers and single shots but im sure you are interested in those for this purpose. The main advantage that a .22rifle has over a .22 handgun with optic is the stock. In a survival situation you are already stressed and if hungry your losing your fine motor skills such as holding a pistol steady. The game you hunt with a .22 is already small, makes for an easy miss. Honestly if you are bugging out to a location you dont have the time to kill and field dress a deer much less prepare and then carry all that weight, and a centerfire cartridge going off makes alot of noise that you dont need. The handgun will likely be defense only but a .357mag is also capable of taking deer within 75yards. Also, check around, the vast majority of shots taken in this region hunting are well inside of 100yards. Only ones farther than that are from people hunting across fields. Worst casr you could make do with a .22 pistol and a .357mag revolver and use the weight savings on more ammo. And if you wanted to use shotshell ammo, it works much better in revolvers than autoloaders.

I can guarantee that you will not kill any bird in flight with shotshell ammo from a handgun, even 500SW magnum, it is snakeshot/ratshot at best. It spreads extremely fast and looses velocity even quicker. Why a .22lr? For being able to carry alot of it? .22 is good for small game hunting and thats it, not much of that going on while your trying to get away from the city. If you are only trying to get away from the big city to a rural retreat spot, fast and light and combat oriented would be your best friend, carry what food you need in your pack. For that situation, an AR15 in 5.56 or 6.8 and a hi cap pistol of your favorite flavor. Just because one of our answers doesnt fit your idea of a survival situation doesn't mean its wrong or outside the box. But to satisfy your" inside the box" survival situation, take a .22rifle and a .357 revolver.

No because the auto sear is registered to be swapped between different guns. However modifying it to the point that it wont function in the original platform is considered manufacturing. Technically the sear is a "firearm" as well as the host receiver you are installing it in.

A 30/30 Marlin with the Hornady Leverevolution ammo would be hard to beat.

Good luck hitting a bird in flight with a pistol or rifle. There is a reason people, say shotgun. The only things they cant do is conceal very well like a pistol or shoot long range like a high powered rifle, however with modern slugs they can reach out to 150-175 yards. You can hunt birds, large game, short range self defense with buckshot, extended ranges with slugs, and there sre specialty rounds for door breaching, busting through barriers, less lethal rubber bullets, beanbags, homemade rock salt rounds, etc. However if shotgun is ruled out and we aren't allowed any multical guns, which is highly impractical, always take the best equipment available. I say a 10/22 rifle and a hicap .45acp, likely a double stack 1911 of some sort for me.

Thus why i said someone needs to go ahead and design a 12ga AR pattern shotgun. Or at least one that accepts a M16 auto sear and hi cap mags. There is one available now but it takes 5 round mags and i believe its on an AR10 platform and you have to irreversibly modify an RDIAS to work in an AR10 platform whic constitutes manufacturing a machine gun, therefore illegal. Referencing the Akdal MKA 1919 shotgun.

Im thinking something I can legally acquire before they get here. Registered drop in auto sears (RDIAS) are legal albeit expensive. An AA12 isnt available to ordinary civilians.

If thats the case, someone needs to finally make a 12 ga AR pattern that will accept an auto sear so we can have a full auto 12ga already.

The difference is a person firing on a machine and a machine firing on a man. I fear the day a drone opens fire on a US citizen.

Ive heard that the 70gr Barnes TSX load is what you want to use for terminal performance in a SBR.

I dont know if subsonic .22mag is available ( why when you have .22lr?) But it is available for 5.7 as well as other specialty rounds. I believe the 5.7 is more versatile and its reloadable. Im just waiting on a repeating rifle suited for hunting chambered in 5.7 such as a bolt action or such.

Obvious answer i would think would be take both and carry whichever the situation will allow or both.

What I fail to realize/understand is why a switchblade is illegal to carry but a 4" fixed blade isnt. This is like banning the full auto knife or something, stupid.
