Different mostly. I personally dont care for it as it detracts from the appearance, and it wasnt in the original plans but then again neither are alot of things on 1911s now. They do work, no doubt. I beleive S&W said they couldn't get an internal to be reliable enough without hand fitting so they used an external, possibly the same with Sig? Glocks have external extractors if that says anything.

Two things about the Sig, 1, it has an external extractor whereas all other 1911s except Sig and S&W have internal extractors. 2, Sig 1911s have a more squared off slide profile instead of rounded and may not fit some holsters.

Looks good but im no photo critique. Got any plans for some blued steel, walnut, and leather? Maybe some western themed stuff?

Im curious as to what a Sig forum would have bad to say about those two fine specimens? They look great to me, kinda funny though the bigger gun is a smaller caliber.

The Socom rifles are completely different from the Scout Squads or any other m1a. The socoms have a good bit of proprietary parts, particularly the gas system. I may be mistaken but i think thats a good price for one

I absolutely refuse to use aluminum or steel cased ammo. I assume you are wanting defensive hollow points. Either Hornady or Speer are the best on the market currently

I pocket carry a Kahr P380 and love it. I have had a PM40 before and its just a little big for some of my jeans. The P380 fits in anything It locks back on the last shot also. Every time.

That would be ok IF they made it all one finish, either all high polish blued or all matte blued. And put the regular Ruger grips on it, those are hideous. And got rid of the color fill on the ruger logo on the slide. I have wished they would make a blued SR1911 since the stainless ones came out, but that one has horrible execution.
