  1. Its pretty close when using 180gr+ either buffalo bore or maximum handloads
  2. Some of those scare me that those people are out in the general population...
  3. My buddy from that area says Larrys is the place to go also.
  4. Yeah everyone wants to speculate on what glock coulda/woulda/shoulda made, I say a glock derringer. In .44 Henry Rimfire.
  5. Im surprised they havent made a .22 yet Or a pistol caliber carbine Or a shotgun Or a derringer
  6. Hornady is not under powered, their +P .45acp runs 950fps just like everybody else, some of their stuff is hotter than most others. The XTP is a JHP intended for hunting although it performs exceptionally well on humans as well.
  7. It would vary depending on what city or county you live in...
  8. If they make a longslide version of the 21 they had better make a 10mm version too...
  9. I would assume the .308 is moving at a higher velocity and therefore punched through quicker leaving a closer to original diametet hole, whereas the .300blk was moving at a slower velocity and mushroomed a bit as it entered creating a bigger hole. Of course, not using the same bullet on each would change the results also.
  10. Not saying you need monsters but there is a difference in hdmi cables. They affect the refresh rate as much as anything. It may not be very noticeable under most circumstances but some are better than others.
  11. Hornady XTPs are all I carry. I use Speer Gold Dots if I cant find Hornadys at the time.
  12. I think they are a good idea being you can use .44 mag bullets in them if things are scarce or hard to come by. Never used one but cant be much worse than a .45/70 which i love
  13. Im personally waiting to finally bag a mutant-zombie-biker-man-bear-pig
  14. This thread reminds me of the saying about cars. Cheap, fast, reliable. Pick two because you cant have all three. You can have all the characteristics you want for a rifle but it wont be cheap. Or you can compromise on something else. If you could have it all, everybody would have it. Also, Mad Max was a movie not real life or an accurate look into the future.
  15. Yep, an old model 19 for a blued gun or a 66 for a stainless gun. 2 1/2" barrel 686s are bigger than they need to be for a snubnose I know you said you werent interested in a carry gun but IMO, the Model 19/66 is the perfect carry revolver. Its about as small as you can get and still retain a 6-shot .357 cylinder and shoots great
  16. You must have some anti idiot software to register that warning
  17. Not available in .45 and its like comparing a Kia to a Ferrari, when you compare a KelTec to a Kriss.
  18. MVP are available in .300blk and .308 now or soon. If all you need is deer sized game at 100yards and defense, id say a 30/30 lever action is perfect. Same ballistics as AK with better bullets and quicker action than a bolt
  19. Thats amazing. Really good to hear about stuff like that
  20. I pay around $45 for Jack Daniels Single Barrel Select. Might have to try this Jim Bean Devils Cut. Although i highly doubt it will compare to good ole Single Barrel.
  21. Ive seen rare unfired versions sell for for over $4,000. Under $1500 for a blued 4 or 6" is a good deal now.
  22. I really hate to use Wikipedia as a source, but it says on there the kinetic energy of the round equals a 2800 lb automobile travelling 20mph.
  23. Effective range of a shotgun is limited but with 3.5" goose loads, its well over 500ft.
