  1. Yes I read the report. I dont agree with them. Back to the 10mm...
  2. Did you do the testing with the other switch connected to the wires?
  3. Did all of this work before you started replacing the switches?
  4. Number 2 is the power, it goes on the black screw.
  5. Power off, its slower but better. If its on its possible to damage the switch by the wires arcing when you put the wires on the screw.
  6. FBI also says 9mm is as good as 40 or 45. They have no credibility anymore.
  7. WOW! finally another 10mm on the market! I knew grayguns had been doing conversions for a while and I had planned on getting one from him, but a factory gun will be better. Ok HK, your turn. We need a HK USP-10
  8. It doesn't matter if its the white house or the black house, it just doesn't work that way. Try holding a bow with a 100lb draw at full draw 24hrs straight. Its like that
  9. Power on and meter set on 120v+ correct?
  10. A buddy had one for his wife and i spent some time with it. Its was a nice gun, but The trigger was pretty rough IMO, i carry a Kahr P380 and I much prefer that trigger, extremely smooth, yet long and somewhat heavy. For the size a quality, I dont believe there is a better .380acp pocket pistol available, maybe a Seecamp but I haven't been able to lay hands on one of those yet. The laser has a horrible activation button and its very stiff not ergonomic at all. Other than that, I think its a great pistol, certainly worth the money.
  11. The white wire is NOT a neutral in this case. Neutrals are made up in the light and they stop there and dont come down into the switch. You dont need a neutral for a switch to work. You have a power/switch leg, which one depends on how the light is made up. And two travellers working back and forth for the two switches. Unhook all wires from both switches and there should be only one with power on it. We can go from there Edit: when testing for power, put the black lead from the meter on the ground wire or bare copper wire and the red lead on the wire you are testing
  12. With the power off, take apart the red and white wire in the back of the box and make a new connection with a wire nut and use a pair of pliers to twist the wires together securely to make sure they stay connected. Its possible that has a bad connection. Are you changing all this with the power on or off?
  13. Just swap the two wires on the gold screws and that should fix it
  14. Ok, that helps. The power/switch leg is made up in the light. There are about ten different ways to wire up a 3way switch. In the original switch box, the one with two set of cloth wrapped wires, one set has a black and white, the other has a red, black and white. The red and the white from the other set are tied together. Take the black one from the two wire set and put it on the black screw. Put the white one on the screw on the same side of the switch and the other black one on the other side. That should work if its wired up how I think it is
  15. Yep, especially when you didn't wire it up yourself to begin with
  16. Most likely, the white is the power, and the two blacks are the travelers. Put the white wire on the bottom screw on the other side of the switch, it should be black screw. Then see if it works, if one switch works and the other doesn't, just swap the black wires and it will work. I used to be a residential electrician.
  17. I would have one if it was available in a blued finish, im not a fan of stainless bolt guns
  18. Just because something is legal or there isnt a law against it, doesn't mean it's right. All that is necessary for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing.
  19. Its called public decency. Also, you dont hang a steak around your neck and run around through bear territory. Because sooner or later, the bear will get you. Its just a matter of time
  20. Depends on your tastes. For a semi auto, Ed Brown, no doubt. But Id also look hard at either a Colt Python or Anaconda. Try finding a 5" Anaconda
